Hi, I'm Freya! I'm a ball of energy and I love to make people laugh with my goofy antics. I wasn't always this vibrant though. When I first arrived here, I was a little under the weather, malnourished and dealing with some skin issues. The lovely folks here helped me bounce back. My skin still needs time to heal and it'll take a while for me to put weight back on but I'm feeling better already. I'm about 2 years old and weigh 37.6 lbs. My past may have been rough, but I don't dwell on it. I'm all about the present and the future. I get along well with other dogs and I'm friendly with every person I meet. I'm looking for a forever home where I can spread joy and love. Adopt me and let's make beautiful memories together! If you'd like to meet me call to schedule an appt today 256 362 5856. My adoption fee is $110. The adoption fee covers one set of vaccines including rabies, vet exam, spay, fecal and general dewormer.

Meet Imani! Imani is a 1 1/2-year-old Doberman-Rottweiler mix with a heart full of potential and love to give. Rescued from a local shelter's euthanasia list nearly a year ago, Imani has blossomed into a lively, affectionate, and active pup who enjoys exploring her boundaries. With clear and consistent communication, she learns quickly and thrives on structure. While Imani can be initially nervous or scared in new places or around unfamiliar noises, she gains confidence with an experienced handler who is willing to invest in her training. With the right guidance, she becomes more confident and will reward you with unwavering trust and respect in your partnership. Imani would do best in a home with another stable dog to show her the ropes and no cats. She isn't the biggest fan of small children but could acclimate to living with older kids if the adults in the home are committed to working with her and advocating for everyone's safety and comfort. If you have the experience, patience, and dedication to help Imani continue her journey, she will undoubtedly become a loyal and loving companion. Showed up as a stray and brought to us.  Super sweet boy, also well-mannered, very responsive to commands, loves attention.  Good with other dogs.   DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more.  (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).   The first step is to our Adoption Application here:  https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html .   IMPORTANT – we respond to your emailed applications and queries via email back to you.  Please make sure you have either added our email  (hselco@bellsouth.net)  to your contact list or that you routinely check your SPAM folder for our response just to be safe.
