Story
This is Huncho. He's only 17 weeks old but he is just the sweetest and smartest boy. We adopted him from the local animal shelter in Raleigh, NC around 10 weeks old. Since then he has been house-trained, knows how to sit, stay and come and loves to play. He is full of energy, typical for a puppy, but as long as you take him on walks or let him run around he will fall right asleep. He truly is the sweetest boy and loves to cuddle and play with his toys. He has been loving the dog park, exploring the new environment, meeting new dogs, and going on walks. We are looking for an owner(s) who is able to put in the time to train and love him. He deserves a loving home that is able to watch him grow. We will miss this sweet boy and are so sad we have to leave him. We will provide the crate, toys, bed, shampoo, treats, leash, and leftover food once adopted.

Story
Hakuna Matata: "no worries"Timone is a beautiful 5 year old neutered male dog with a lovely caramel coat and a thin darker steak down his back like the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed. A canine DNA test has been submitted, so we should have a good idea of his breed(s) in a few weeks. He is in prime physical condition, takes treats with a gentle mouth, and has good manners which we are working on improving even more. Timone is an excellent walker on his leash; he doesn't pull and takes direction well. He has been friendly with all the people and most of the dogs he has met so far in the neighborhood. He is sometimes reactive to other dogs encountered while walking; he hasn't shown any reactivity to wild animals. Timone is house trained and crate trained. He loves to play with toys but is very rough with them, so only really tough toys will work for him. He respects boundaries and hasn't damaged anything in his foster house. He sleeps well in the bedroom with his foster dad, and stays in his crate calmly when left alone in the house. He enjoys going on adventures to local greenways and parks, and gets into and out of the car well but is a little nervous so far on car rides (pacing, but not panting). Timone has a very nice spirit. He does not bark much and doesn't seem interested in looking out the windows of the house (just the windows in the car), so he is a quiet companion. He is the only animal in his foster house, and has not been cat tested. He doesn't currently know any commands or tricks well, but seems to be both treat motivated and eager to please, so he should be able to learn. Timone's ideal permanent house would have owner(s) who are eager to go on long walks with him or who have a fenced in yard since he is in excellent shape with some energy to burn. His foster dad walks him 5+ miles a day, and he hasn't shown any signs of wanting less walking yet. During a really short jogging test he seemed like he could also be a good jogging partner. He may not do well with daily long stays in his crate (he may get bored or frustrated based on his behavior while confined to a kennel at the Wake County Animal Center). A household where someone works at home or otherwise stays at home most of the time would be perfect for him.During playgroups at the Animal Center, Timone performed like a silly wild bronco bucking around for fun. He was delighted to engage with another female and bounce around with her. He truly seemed to enjoy himself. His best match would be a tolerant, confident playful female.Timone is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, and is microchipped. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we always recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. If you'd like to meet Timone, please contact the Wake County Animal Center (and reference Timone #251219) so they can put you in touch with his foster dad. Story
I adopted Tanner from the Wake County animal shelter when he was 2 years old. He just turned 8 years old this year but you wouldn't know it. He still gets the zoomies and sprints around the yard at full speed until he tires and loves playing tug of war with a rope. When I take him to the dog park people ask me how old he is thinking he's a puppy and are startled when I tell them he's a senior. He gets along great with other dogs, loves kids and people, and never barks inside the house (he does bark outside though). Tanner is a very low maintenance pup. I've never had to put him in a crate, He doesn't chew up furniture or belongings and can hold his pee all day until I get back from work. He's handsome, he's always been healthy, his coat is soft and he does't smell bad like some other dogs. Unfortunately my girlfriend is severely allergic to dogs and we can't live together until Tanner finds a new home, otherwise I would spend many more years with this happy pup.

Story
Introduction Hello there, future forever family! My name is Liza, and I'm eagerly waiting to find a place I can call home. Let me tell you a little bit about myself – I'm a mixed breed with a heart full of love and a touch of shyness. Personality Meeting new people is one of my favorite things in the world! I might be a bit shy at first, but trust me, it won't take long for my warm and affectionate side to shine through. Once I feel comfortable, I'll be your most loyal and loving companion, following you around and cuddling up for some quality bonding time. Relationship with Other Pets Now, about my feelings towards other furry friends – I'm a strong, independent pup who thrives best as the only dog in the home. I would prefer to be your one and only furry companion. This way, I can feel safe and secure, and give you all my love and attention. I promise to bring lots of energy, snuggles, and joy into our home! Ideal Home I dream of a lively and patient home where my family understands that I may take a little time to open up, but I’m confident it won’t be long! I thrive in an active environment with plenty of walks, hikes, and outdoor fun. I spend hours outside and still get the zoomies indoors, so lots of physical and mental stimulation are essential for me. I absolutely adore my people and can't wait to snuggle after our adventures! If you’re ready for an energetic companion, I promise to fill your life with love and joy! ‍‍‍ Family Fit ‍‍‍ I get along brilliantly with people of all ages! Whether you have children, adults, or a mix of both in your household, I'm confident we'll become fast friends. Just remember, a little patience goes a long way!  Activity Level  I’m a high-energy pup who’s always on the move, ready for action and adventure at every turn! Conclusion So, dear potential adopter, if you're someone who understands that good things come to those who wait, I believe we could be the perfect match. With your patience and love, I'll show you just how amazing life with me can be. If you're ready to open your heart to a loving companion, please consider making me a part of your family. Let's create wonderful memories together! If you're interested in adopting me, please contact www.pipsrescue.org. I can't wait to meet you and start this beautiful journey together. ##1774819##
