Story
Meet Raptor, the puppy who likes to pretend he’s the cool, calm, collected member of the group… until you get him one-on-one. Around the other puppies, Raptor acts like the laid-back observer. But the moment he has you to himself? Surprise! The chill guy disappears and the attention-loving goofball comes out. If you stop petting him, he will absolutely let you know about it. Raptor believes attention should be continuous and uninterrupted. His favorite hobby is shoe sabotage. Raptor specializes in sneaking up while you're standing there minding your business and carefully untying your shoelaces. It’s a very important job and he takes it seriously. Raptor gets along well with his siblings and lives with four adult dogs and four cats. The dogs are cool with him, and he would very much like to be friends with the cats… but the cats have not yet approved his application. If you're looking for a puppy who is equal parts chill, silly, affectionate, and mildly mischievous, Raptor is ready to keep you entertained. Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
When Violet’s owner suddenly passed away, her world was turned upside down. Her single elderly mom cared deeply for her and was they were constant companions. She was left in a place of deep uncertainty, unsure of what would happen to her. Sadly, the family she was left with showed her little attention or affection and simply wanted to pass her off to someone else. She languished for 5 months after the sad death and in that time she lost weight and became very depressed.  That’s when Critter Cavalry stepped in—to show Violet that she was wanted, valued, and loved. When she arrived, Violet was not only painfully thin and very scared. It seemed as though she hadn’t felt a kind hand or a gentle hug in quite some time, nor known the comfort of consistent care. Despite this heartbreaking start, Violet surprised us all. Day by day, she began to brighten—eating more than you’d ever think her little body could manage and slowly gaining the weight she so desperately needed. As she filled out, her personality began to emerge. With each passing day, she became more playful and curious. Violet is a quiet, gentle soul. She is a beautiful black and white Rat Terrier mix and weighs about 20 pounds.  While she often prefers to observe from a distance as the other pups roughhouse, she’s perfectly content to quietly coexist—snuggled up on the couch, soaking in calm companionship.Violet is learning how to live life again, rediscovering trust and comfort at her own pace. She would thrive with a calm, patient, and understanding family who can continue to show her what safety, kindness, and love truly mean. What a joy she could be for a retired couple or single woman who wants to be the center of Violet's adoration and love.  She deserves a resurrection in life and a solid promise of a forever place to live out her many years that she has ahead. Housebroken, non-destructive when home alone and good with other dogs and cats, this girl is a peaceful soul that will bring so much to your life.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. We rescued Lola from Memphis Animal Control on 4-26-25. She was found close to their facility, with another dog and was very underweight. She becomes more beautiful by the day.   Lola is a sweet, laid back girl, who enjoys the simple pleasures in life (napping and eating) and is ready to find her forever family to retire with.  She’s 8-10 years old, about 40 lbs, and potty trained. She isn’t crate trained in her foster home, but sleeps peacefully at night in her room.    Lola enjoys going to Petco and meeting new people, she gets along with other dogs, but does try to chase cats, so is likely best suited for a home with no cats, unless the situation can be managed.   She does have some back issues and requires daily pain medication (currently less than $20 a month). We believe a calm home, with no small children would be best.    If you would like to apply to adopt Lola, click on the Adoption Application page!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 16, 2026, 12:31 pm

Story
Meet Leila & Skyla — Two Senior Sweethearts Looking for a Lifetime of Love If you’ve been hoping to add double the love, double the charm, and double the snuggles to your home, look no further than Leila and Skyla! This precious bonded pair of medium-small senior ladies (about 25–35 pounds each) is ready to make your life brighter in every way. Leila, a gentle 9-year-old Rat Terrier mix, is the steady heartbeat of the duo. Happy, affectionate, and endlessly loyal, she’s the anchor that gives her best friend comfort and confidence. Skyla, an almost-8-year-old brindle Corgi mix, is a bundle of sweetness with a shy side. She tends to feel nervous when Leila isn’t close by, which is why these two absolutely must be adopted together. When her best friend is near, Skyla blossoms into a playful, happy companion. Both girls have been spayed, microchipped, and are up to date on vaccines and flea/heartworm prevention, so they’re all set for their new beginning. Their adoption fee is just $100 for the pair, because true friendship is priceless—and these two come as a perfect package. Leila and Skyla are hoping for a calm, loving home where they can spend their days inside with their people, enjoying cozy beds, short walks, and plenty of affection. All New Leash dogs are to be primarily indoor pets with supervised outdoor playtime only, and these two are more than happy to follow that routine. If your heart and home have room for two wonderful companions who already come with a lifetime of love for each other—and more than enough to share with you—Leila and Skyla may be your perfect match. Come meet them and let their quiet sweetness win you over. 💛🐾

Story
Hi, I’m Kipper (the big little gentleman) Hello there! My name is *Kipper*, and I’m a 25-pound Jack Russell–Rat Terrier mix with excellent manners and a very serious love of snacks. If you have a treat, I will sit like the most distinguished gentleman you’ve ever met. I don’t rush greatness. I’m about six years old, very smart (not to brag… but also yes to brag), and I really listen when my people talk. I like understanding what’s going on — it helps me be the best boy possible. My favorite things:• Racing and wrestling with my little brother, Spike• Corn-cobbing his neck (it’s how I show love)• Sniffing adventures and pretending I’m on an important hunt• Lap time and cozy TV watching• Being told I’m a good boy (accurate) I can be a little cautious when meeting new people, especially men, but once I know you’re safe, I am loyal, affectionate, and deeply devoted. I take my job of loving my family very seriously. I came from a home where we were very loved, but our mom got sick and couldn’t care for us anymore. Right now we’re staying with our stepsister, but her big dogs think they run the world… and honestly, they do. So my brother and I are hoping to find a calm home where we can stay together. Because here’s the important part:I don’t just come with a personality — I come with Spike. He’s my teammate, my wrestling partner, and my favorite little guy in the whole world.   Meet my little brother, *Spike* (certified sweetheart) This is Spike, my 10-pound sidekick and professional kiss-sneaker. He’s about four years old and a bit shy at first, but once he trusts you… surprise! You’ve been kissed. Spike is very expressive. When we go outside, he tells the entire universe how excited he is. He loves:• Racing me like it’s the Olympics• Pouncing with dramatic flair• Sniffing absolutely everything• Rolling in grass like it’s a spa treatment• Quiet cuddles and lap time• Being near me (he pretends it’s for protection, but I think he just loves me) He’s gentle, sweet, and very emotionally intelligent. If you’re having a soft moment, he will be right there for you. Like me, Spike can be unsure of strangers at first, but he warms up with patience and kindness. We both crate beautifully together — we rest when it’s quiet time and save our fun for walks, meals, and playtime. We are curious about cats and would probably try to chase them, but truly we’re just little explorers at heart.   Our promise We love each other deeply. We nap together, play together, and watch TV together. We share a crate, share adventures, and share comfort when things feel new or scary. If you open your home to us, you won’t just get two dogs. You’ll get:• A gentleman and his tiny best friend• Built-in entertainment• Loyal companionship• Double the cuddles• A ready-made family We’re looking for a foster or forever home where we can stay side by side — just the way we’ve always been. If you have a lap, a little patience, and maybe a treat… we’re already halfway in love with you. Love,Kipper (and Spike, who says “Hi” and would like to kiss you now) Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters. The application is the first step. Story
Lola is my name. I love all and want to be friends with everyone. I am mischievous and will get into trouble just for the attention. I am still very young and eager to explore new things. I want a loving family who will take me on adventures, then love on me while winding down. I don't like it when you focus on other dogs and sometimes I push them out of the way so I can be the center of attention! I have the sweetest face and my "love to be with you" attitude is the best kind to have! I am a medium sized girl and that makes me super PORTABLE! Take me with you to the beach, the mountains, the BATHROOM... I don't care where we go, as long as you take me with you!! I'm a energetic and driven girl with a strong prey drive, particularly chickens, birds, small animals and cats. I'll need a home without these types of pets to ensure everyone's safety. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Benji is a sweet little guy with a gentle soul. He can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but with a little patience, his loving personality quickly shines through. Before coming to the rescue, Benji lived life outdoors and had some hair loss, but now he’s on the mend—his scruffy coat is growing back in, and it just adds to his charm! He’s currently learning all the good stuff about being a spoiled house pup, like potty training, walking on a leash, and discovering how amazing cozy beds and fun toys can be. If you have a soft spot for scruffy, adorable boys and a heart for helping a pup continue to blossom, Benji is ready to find his forever home and be your loyal little companion Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $600 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Sweet momma, Utopia, and her five day old pups were hours away from being euthanized in a small Texas animal shelter before they were rescued. Momma was scared and protective of her babies for a few days until she realized they were safe. Now she is a total lovebug! Utopia needs a patient family. She is shy and will take some time and lots of treats to be comfortable in her new home. She would do best with another confident dog to show her the ropes. She loves to run and play with other dogs so acclimating with them should be no problem. She is also cat friendly. Utopia does well in the car and walks great on a leash. She's ready for adventure and a love that lasts forever! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX adoption only)
