Story
Leaving the only home she had ever known at 8 years-old was upsetting for Izee, but it took her only a day or two to settle in to her new foster home and show what a wonderfully resilient gal she is. Friendly, well-mannered, and oh-so-playful, Izee has really won everyone's heart, both human and canine. Since she absolutely loves going for walks and checking out all the fascinating scents of the neighborhood, she gives thumbs up to her new exercise routine that we expect to take her from her current 31 lbs. down to a more healthy 25 lbs. or so. Of course diet is also part of the new regimen, and thankfully she isn't too agitated about her lower rations; she eats quickly but then doesn't pester for more nor try to invade her foster brother's bowl. It's hard to tell what Izee loves the most: getting butt scratches, playing catch or tug-of-war, wrestling with her foster brother, or a leisurely snooze on the couch. All of these activities add great contentment to her life, and she is hoping for a new home where she gets plenty of all. You'll appreciate her great house manners and reliable house-training, as well as her easy-going nature upon meeting newcomers (once she has barked at them at the door, of course). At night she'd love to snuggle in your bed with you, but if you prefer to sleep dog-free, she will spend the night in a crate or on a nearby dog bed. Izee's only significant issue is a skin allergy. Her former home controlled the itch with intermittent prescription Apoquel (about $10/week), but we are currently seeing some good results with a switch in diet and some OTC topical meds. If you can recognize Izee's happy heart, please visit her online album at https://imageevent.com/beales/fosters/izee to see lots more pictures of her plus additional information. Then don't forget to put in an adoption application! Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. NewRattitude.org/adopt/  From there, you can access our adoption application or contact our Adoption Team for more info. December 11, 2024, 8:43 am

Story
Fella/Bones, Male 3-4 y/o, 18 poundsFella (Goodfellow Jones) is looking for a loving home that can provide the attention and affection he needs to completely forget his past. After his owner passed away, he was dumped and was a stray before being hit by a car and being rescued by RRTN. He is still recovering from surgery to fix his broken hip but is doing very well and is able to walk, run, play and use stairs. He does extremely well with other dogs and has been friendly with everyone he has met since coming home with me.He is housebroken and loves to lay outside in the sun. A fenced back yard would definitely suit him best. He does well in his crate when left alone but prefers to sleep in the bed with his family. He would be a fantastic fit for someone who is home often or can take him along on their adventures (he can get car sick on long drives if he can’t see out the windows). If you're looking for a loyal, smart and affection companion who will always be by your side, Fella is the perfect fitWe were tagged on a post about a dog that had been hit by a car. Taken to a vet it was thought he would need his leg amputated. If no rescue stepped up then he would be euthanized when his stray hold period was up We knew that one of our wonderful vet would save his leg of at all possible. Long story short he still has his leg and should recover with no effects. Bones was his origional name but now he has a new better name Rusty. Rusty will be someones dog of a lifetime. Don't let this guy slip away from your and your familyAvailable dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters. The application is the first step.
