Zuzu is a 7-month-old rat terrier mix weighing about 30 pounds. She is a very sweet and sensitive puppy looking for a calm and patient home. Once she trusts you, she is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her person following you around the house and curling up at your feet. She does great with other dogs and cats and would likely do best in a home with a confident canine companion. Zuzu is still very shy with new people and environments, so she will need someone patient who understands fearful dogs and is willing to help her continue building confidence. She is just a gentle, timid girl who needs time, love, and understanding to truly blossom. Best fit: • Calm, patient home (preferably female-only) • Experience with shy or fearful dogs • Another friendly dog is a plus Ideally a large fenced in yard. Zuzu is struggling to walk on a leash. We love her very much, but after four months she has not been able to warm up to my husband.

She will need a family that is will to continue to work with her training and understands puppies can be a lot of work. She will make a wonderful addition to any family. She is fostered in Knoxville TN, but transport to a location near you is provided by Rescue Riders LLC and is included in the adoption fee.
