Meeko is a 3-year-old Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix with a goofy, affectionate personality that will win you over in no time. Friendly with humans of all ages and dogs of all sizes, Meeko is an easy-going, typical small dog who thrives in almost any setting. He loves playing fetch, going on adventures, and curling up in your lap for some snuggles. This little guy has a silly streak that will keep you laughing—whether he's chasing toys, showing off his playful side, or getting cozy under a blanket at bedtime. At night, Meeko loves being tucked in, curling up in a ball, and drifting off to sleep. Meeko is leash trained, crate trained, and does well in the car, making him a great companion for road trips or long walks. While he’s mostly potty trained, he just needs a consistent routine to help him fully master it. Like many pups, Meeko has some resource-guarding tendencies with food and a few favorite toys, but he’s easily managed when fed in his kennel and thrives in a home that provides structure and patience. Outside of those moments, he’s playful, social, and loves being part of the action. If you’re looking for a loyal, entertaining, and affectionate little buddy, Meeko is your guy. He’s ready to bring his silliness and love to a new home—could it be yours? Meeko is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 2/8/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
