Story
My name is Midgie and I'm a very sweet and smart 6-year-old, 17 lb. female rat terrier who just wants to play, love, and be loved!I have a beautiful thick coat and a cute curly tail. I am treat-motivated and know a variety of commands such as sit, lie down, off, wait, leave it, go to (get in) crate, come, quiet/no barking. I'm not shy, but I'm usually quite quiet – unless I hear a suspected intruder. I am trustworthy on my own in the house, but I am crate-trained too. I love to chew on toys, and peanut-butter filled Kongs though I'm very respectful and don't chew on anything else.I have been an only dog in the past, but I really love having my foster siblings to play with! I get along well with just about everyone and I like to stay active. Sometimes I don't pick up cues right away when my friends don't want to play. Big dogs can make me a little nervous at first, but I feel fine around dogs my size and my prior family said I do fine with cats.I give gentle kisses and enjoy snuggling up next to my person – especially while sleeping under the covers in bed. During the day I am fully house-trained and have no issues, though I have had a few accidents in the middle of the night during my adjustment period. Despite that, I am a very good girl and have irresistible charm. I ride well in a car and walk well on a leash. I'm exceptionally easy-going and adapt quickly to new surroundings. While I am having a great time in my foster home, I would really love to find forever family and bring them lots of love and joy.Check out some of my glamour shots here: https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/midgie  Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. Story
Wiggle Wiggle is a Female Wirehaired Terrier mix DOB: March 6th, 2024 Adoption fee: $150.00 I am a wiggly, squiggly little girl. I appear to have a lot of confidence when with my siblings but one on one, I am the shyest of the group. I have learned the routine at the shelter, and I follow others well. I really would do my best with another dog in the home to help me gain confidence. Unless you have experience with pups with low social skills. My current weight as on 7/12/24 was 17-18 pounds. I am doing better and would do much better in a quiet setting where I could relax and get more one-on-one attention and work. I will make a wonderful pet for the right situation; I just might need a little more work with confidence and socialization than your typical puppy. Pending observed interaction, I should do well with older children. I should adjust to a cat in the home. I will require a physically fenced yard. If you are interested in being my adopter, please visit my shelter's website and complete the adoption application that is available there! HSSCM.org you can find the applications under the "adoptions" tab.

Story
Squirt Squirt is a Male Wirehaired Terrier mix DOB: March 6th, 2024 Adoption fee: $150.00 I am a little squirt of a guy. I can be a little timid, but wouldn’t you be nervous when everyone around you is 5 times larger than you. I need a little confidence but with a loving home with consistency in my schedule and training, I will blossom into a wonderful little companion. I love to run and play with my siblings. I do have a lot of energy. I will require a physically fenced yard. Pending a meet and greet, I should do well with another dog. Pending previous experience and observed interaction, I should be fine with children 8 years and older. I should adjust to a dog friendly cat with a slow and positive introduction. I am an adorable little boy with lots of love and affection to share with the right person, couple, or family. If you are interested in being my adopter, please visit my shelter's website and complete the adoption application that is available there!
