Story
Meet Rio! The cutest  Chug around. Yes, you heard me correctly, he is a Pug-Chihuahua mix and he's 7 years old. Rio has the spicy Chi in him and the pug heart. So naturally, Rio barks his head off with rage until you submit your love. Who wouldn't want to be bossed around by an adorable bug eyed monster who has no manners. ‍ Rio is sweet and spice all in one and often at the same time. You really have to rely on your connection with him or he will leave you baffled as to what his intentions are. Fact is Rio, will make someone a very happy pawrent! He is learning more and more everyday that life doesn't suck and not to take things so seriously. Someone that could continue to show him all that he's missed out on would be great! Rio has spent several years spending most of his time locked in a crate. He was being protected from a Husky that was trying to kill him. ‍ We have to unravel all that and make up for it so his sassy little tude is there for a reason. Like most rescues, Rio has a crappy past and he deserves his happy ever after too. If you feel like Rio is your dude, then please visit our website to fill out an application! www.TiggerTown.com ##2412849##

These puppies thrive in homes that can offer:A relaxed daily routineShort, controlled exerciseIndoor play and enrichmentClose monitoring in warm weatherA home where the puppy can be a primary focus Households with a quieter pace and fewer competing demands, where time and attention can be dedicated to the puppy’s care and training, are typically the best fit. Our Puppy Adoption Policy & Senior Adopters We absolutely adopt to seniors and value them deeply in our rescue community. In fact, we encourage adopters age 70 and older to consider adult dogs (5+ years) — they often form the most beautiful, well-matched partnerships and truly thrive together. Why not puppies? Puppies require many years of intensive care, including:Daily training and socializationSignificant physical activityOngoing veterinary careLong-term contingency planning for the next 15+ years Because of these lifetime needs, we place puppies only in homes where long-term stability and planning can be confidently met. For this reason, we do not place puppies with adopters over the age of 70.This policy exists solely to protect the lifelong welfare and stability of the dog — never to diminish the value or capability of senior adopters. Disclaimer:Adoption decisions are made on a case-by-case basis and reflect the rescue’s mission to act in the best interest of each animal. Policies are not intended to be discriminatory and are applied solely to ensure lifelong placement and welfare of the dog.We do not allow electric fences/halo collars, runners/tethers or doggy doors ##2616215##
