Story
This little fella is West. He is a 4-year-old pug mix and weighs 16 lb. West has the cutest underbite to go with his adorable compact body! West is very friendly and outgoing. He loves to be with people and is ready for all kinds of adventures. West is fine with other dogs and enjoys playtime. He loves pets and attention. He should be fine with children of all ages. If you are looking for a happy, small companion, West may be the one for you! We don't know what West thinks of cats but can cat-test him if needed. West is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and healthy. His adoption fee is $395. If you would like to meet/adopt West, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms or stop by at our shelter Wednesday-Sunday between 12 and 6 PM. Story
Meet Yin Yang Yin Yang is a perfect example of the quintessential CHUG - a chihuahua and pug mix. Yin Yang is still very young - we know his real birthday is November 29, 2023 - so he shall soon turn the big ONE! We know his birthday because he was an owner surrender, as he was the result of an accidental litter. He is only 11 lbs today and will likely not grow much bigger. Yin Yang is great with kids, dogs and cats. He is house-broken and crate trained as well. He will need a little help learning to walk on leash but otherwise is a laid back sweet little guy. Interested in becoming this pup’s forever home? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and the perfect forever home for our dogs. We appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fees cover spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
