Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Our beautiful Princess is ready for her forever home. Princess is a 10 month old breeder release. She is a perfect sized pooch that weighs only 21 pounds.  Princess is a unique mix of a Boston terrier, Pug and Shiba Inu. If you follow our page regularly you may remember her siblings Arrow and Alfie. Both who are living their best life in forever homes. We are hoping Princess finds a loving family just like them.    Princess is a little more shy and reserved than her brothers. She loves to the butt scratches and chin scratches. She enjoys the comfort of the couch and expects to be able to sleep in bed with you, as every Princess should! Princess will give you gentle kisses when you hold out your hand for her to smell. Every time you leave the room, Princess will follow you. If you are out of her sight, she will whine for you to come back. She likes it when you are on the same level as her. Meaning, Princess is more likely to approach you if you are sitting on the couch or bent down toward the ground or even sitting on the floor.  She absolutely loves it when you are lying in bed. She will snuggle up real close to you all night. She has been known to walk on top of you and even play with your feet in bed.   Princess does have a couple fears that she is working on. For instance, she is scared of the leash at this time. As soon as Princess sees the leash, she will run from you. A fully fenced yard is required for her. Sorry, no electric fences for her. They just aren’t safe and secure for her.  Princess is also scared when you reach for her while standing. She does the “duck and weave” maneuver with her head. She’s working on it and will let you pet her when standing, but it’s clear it makes her nervous. We have seen improvements with that as she becomes more comfortable with her foster family, but she will need additional time to adjust, along with a patient owner. Loud noises do seem to scare her as well. A quieter home with older children (13+) would be best for her. If you have people over, that would be fine. Just don’t expect Princess to socialize too much with them.  Princess appears to be housebroken but of course accidents may happen initially, until she learns your routine. She is crate trained but at this point her foster family simply keeps Princess behind the gate in a bedroom or kitchen while they are at work. When they come, there are no accidents even after a full 8 hour work day! Princess loves the other dogs. She loves to play, wrestle, and run through the yard with the other dogs in her foster home. She bonds quickly to another dog and seeks that one out for comfort. Another dog in the home would be great for Princess to learn from and continue to build her confidence. Princess gets along fine with cats and other small animals.  Princess is a great pup! She just needs time to warm up to new situations and surroundings. If you think you have the time to work with Princess, make sure you apply today. She is ready to sit with you on the couch and watch tv, or even chase your dog around the yard. The joy she has from that alone always makes her foster smile.  We require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure the dog's safety and security. Princess is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $475Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 14, 2025, 6:28 pm

Story
Howdy from Texas! We are 6-month-old Pug mix sisters, Olive and Pickles, and we are looking for forever homes. Unfortunately, we wound up in a high-kill animal shelter in Port Lavaca, and our owner never came to claim us. Fortunately, we are adorable, tiny, sweet, and friendly, so 4 Little Paws Rescue made a 6-hour drive to pick us up, and we are now safe and sound and having fun staying in a foster home while getting ready to find new families. Im Pickles. I weigh 5.5 lbs, a bit smaller than Olive, and she’s the boss of our little 2-pack, but that's okay with me. I am a lover and a cuddler. Otherwise, we are pretty similar, both happy and playful with gobs of puppy energy, but I’m more snuggly than Olive, and I love to be held. I LOVE all doggy toys and treats, and everyone is already my best friend! I am learning about leash walking and doing well! I enjoy the outdoors and running around the yard checking everything and everyone out. I don't mind when I need to be in a crate, but I would rather be out and exploring. My foster mom says I’m a wonderful little girl who will fit in perfectly with anyone looking for a sweet, happy, loveable, playful, itty-bitty, adorable pug! Eastern Seaboard, here I come, so inquire about me today! * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Fortunately, we are adorable, tiny, sweet, and friendly, so 4 Little Paws Rescue made a 6-hour drive to pick us up, and we are now safe and sound and having fun staying in a foster home while getting ready to find new families. I am Olive. I weigh 7.7 lbs and am a little bigger than Pickles. I’m sort of the ringleader of our little 2-pack, playful and happy with gobs of puppy energy and sass, LOL. I’m affectionate and sweet, but only until I see something fun I could be doing instead; then, I’ll want to get busy. I instantly make friends with all people, young and old, and other dogs who could be possible playmates! I love chew toys and doggy treats, and right now, I am working on leash walking and am off to a great start. I love the outdoors and going for rides in the car. My foster mom says I’m a wonderful little girl with so much personality, and I love new adventures and new things to explore in the yard and the house. I am ready for my next great adventure, heading for the Eastern Seaboard so I can be an East Coast girl! Inquire about me today! * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. Story
We have got Mochi when he was a few weeks old, from his breeder. We don’t have details on his breeder, but from our POV, he was rescued. Mochi is 3 years old and for the past 3 years, we have provided a loving home for him to grow and become the dog we always dreamed of. A year after we got Mochi, we recused his sibling, though a different litter. The two of them seemed fine together at first. However, as time continues to move forward, it is clear that Mochi has a lot of anxiety and is easily triggered. His behavioral issues include excessive barking and potential aggression with food and treats/bones with the other dog around. His sibling demands dominance and seems to be a real issue with triggering Mochi and we are unable to provide him with environment he needs to be a great dog. He is very smart and has learned many training words as we have put him in an 8 week training course. He is a good listener and with a little more of a quiet home, I know he will be a great dog.
