Story
Meet Agatha – Our Golden Girl Pug mix!! She was found as a stray right before Christmas and is now ready for adoption. She is around 12 years old and weighs 15 lbs. Agatha had a mass that needed to removed, had surgery and is now looking for a quiet home. She is a very calm senior who is looking to be a companion to some lucky adopters in her retirement years. Although she likes walks, her back legs are weak, so she would do great with older adopters who don’t want the hassle of an active younger dog. She also would do well in an apartment or condo since her energy level is ‘chill’. She is housebroken and attentive to her foster mom. Her foster mom says she came to her shy and confused and she is amazed at how sweet and trusting Agatha was with all the changes and medical challenges she has had (which are now resolved). If you are looking for a low maintenance cuddle bug, please put in an application today!! Bcaaofnj.orgInterested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
Coco is being fostered in PA and has some vision. Coco is a very, very sweet girl whose favorite pastime is napping. She loves being scratched just about anywhere by her human and is a very go-with-the-flow girl, being great with people of all ages. She is wonderful with other dogs and cats if they do not get right in her face. Even then, she'll just give them a sharp bark to try to get them to leave. Her high-strung, young, maltipoo foster brother is NOT her favorite at all. She is a champion sleeper and often needs to be awakened to eat her breakfast and dinner. She will not indicate a need to go outside but is very aware that outside means "potty time" and she gets right down to business. She has trimmed down quite a bit and should still lose a few pounds, but she is moving much better since losing the 7 pounds she has. She loves being outside to sniff around and to just sit and sniff. She is not a fan of leash walks and will simply sit after a couple minutes. If you are looking for a sweet, well-behaved couch potato, Coco is definitely your girl! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Peppercorn and her mom were saved from an overcrowded southern kill shelter after their owner was told by the landlord they had to go because they were being kept outside. Unfortunately, we were not able to get the dad because he was given away by the owner but we did see a picture and he had a fluffy coat so that’s where this little spitfire gets her wiry coat from as her mom has a short brown coat. Now that peppercorn has had a chance to acclimate to indoor life and has been spayed and received TLC, she’s all ready to go to her forever home! This dog needs to be in a home with other dogs as she wants to play, play, play and is most comfortable in a “pack” setting. She is definitely a dominant personality so she likes to take charge. Peppercorn is about a year and a half old, approximately 11 pounds, spayed, and up-to-date on shots. She is currently located in the Trenton NJ area. If you’re interested in learning more, please call/text Aly at 732-604-0625 Or submit an inquiry with your contact information so we can reach out to you. We have lots of videos of this little cutie that we can share with you!
