Hi my name is snickers and i am one of four pups born in my foster home. Two of us have found their homes and now it's just me and my brother Hershey. Our mom & dad are both Pug mixes. We are 9 weeks old and weigh about 6 lbs each. We have gotten along great with the other dogs in our foster home and paid no attention to the cats. We're typical puppies so we'll need continued training to keep being the best boys that we are. We love food and LOVE playing with toys! Hi, I'm Maggie and I'm a mama to 4 beautiful babies who have all found their forever homes, and now I'm looking for mine! I'm a pug mix and almost 2 yrs old, weighing about 21 lbs. I get along great with all the dogs in my foster home and haven't bothered at all with the cats. I also love kids! I currently live with 2 who are 6 and 13 yrs old. I do require a minimum 6ft privacy fence that is very secure. I love to play and run around with the other dogs or just snuggle on the couch with my foster family. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Do Not Apply for a pet with PENDING in the name bar. They have been matched with a home, but not adopted yet. Tommy is 5 months old. He is shy when he meets you. He warms up quickly and his playful pug personality emerges. He gets along well with others. He was surrendered to rescue because he is cryptorchid, has an undescended testicle. His neuter will be more invasive if it does not descend. This is not a major health issue and it is easily corrected. He will need work on housetraining. Adoption fee is 850.00. He is in boarding in the midwest. Adoption fee includes transport to the NE or SE. You pay adoption fee when you pick up. We prefer a home who has experience with pugs. Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a $20.00 donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Your application will remain on file for a year. Applications are available at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com under forms/application. Donation should be made through Paypal at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com. We are only available by phone after you have an approved application. All pets are located in the southeast. Transport is available to the NE for an additional $300.00 transport fee. We do not adopt in MA, RI due to import laws. Residents MUST pick up in CT. All dogs over 8 months will be spayed or neutered and heartworm tested. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated,microchipped, dewormed and treated for other parasites. Midge is the perfect dog for someone who wants to be the center of this girl's universe. She LOVES her humans and will spend the day checking in on you & mostly sleeping on a bed at your feet (her little tongue will be hanging out). She has a funny little face as a result of some trauma that occurred before she was rescued - we think she was hit or kicked by someone. As a result, she has had a lot of work done on her broken jaw which has left her with a snaggletooth look and a tongue that hangs out of her mouth. Yet with all that she's suffered this girl is happy and loving and friendly, even if you're meeting her for the first time! She will walk right into your home as if she belongs there (and maybe she does)! If you're looking for a sweet little companion, look no further than Midge! Miss Midge is a Pug mix who is about 9 years old and weighs 17 pounds. She is a laid-back girl who is so easygoing that she'll even let you dress her up as a princess, tiara included. Midge is well behaved in the car and she really loves her daily walks through the neighborhood. When she sees you grab the leash, she comes running so you can leash her up. She has a jaunty little walk and doesn't act her age one bit. Midge is great at going up & down stairs, especially if it's mealtime - there's no better time of the day for her! Midge currently lives with 2 other dogs in her foster home and has no problem keeping up with them even though they are half her age! We feel that Midge would do best as an only pet as she is very happy just being with humans. Midge should only go to a home where the children are older, perhaps 10+ years old. Midge listens well and, being food driven, is easily trained. She's smart, too - she knows to expect a treat when she comes inside from doing her business in the yard! Midge is housetrained, however, she may need a puppy pad if left alone for 6 hours. When she is left home alone, she has the freedom to roam the place – she does not like being crated and doesn’t need to be. Midge sleeps on her own bed through the night without incident but would love to sleep in the same room as her people if possible. She'll happily curl up on her own bed on the floor next to yours and you can hear her quietly snoring. Midge had 2 surgeries after being rescued to correct the damage to her jaw. Even after the surgeries, she has fistulas (holes) in the roof of her mouth. On a rare occasion kibble may get stuck in her nose but she usually just sneezes the food out so you don’t have to do anything about it. Midge currently requires a tiny sprinkle of medicinal powder on her food to ensure her pancreas functions properly. She eats a Blue Buffalo kibble for seniors which helps keep her pancreatitis in check. It's not prescription food but is readily available at pet stores and on Amazon. Midge just LOVES her food & gobbles it right down, making sure she hunts down every single kibble that might escape her bowl! Although Midge gets along with dogs, she might bark when she encounters new-to-her dogs on a walk. She sounds like a goat when she barks – it is actually quite cute! Renee is a unique little dog that makes people tilt their heads and smile when they see her. Her crooked little underbite smile just leaves you giggling. Its crazy to think she can even eat properly but she can. This Puggle is mixed with Brussel Griffon and Pug and boy is she a sweetheart. She is a tiny, petite thing who weighs10 lbs and is the perfect lap companion. At just 4 years of age, Renee was owned by an elderly person who lost everything in the recent east coast hurricane tragedies in the month of October. So many animals were displaced during that time and we were happy to give little Renee a chance to find a new home. Her elderly mom never walked her much because she was a disabled senior and therefore Renee isn't the best on a leash at the moment. One thing she has mastered and that is being a snuggler and your best bed buddy. Rene gets along well with other dogs, she's fine with cats and in general a very easy-going girl to have around. Little Rene loves car rides and has a great desire to be a social butterfly and go places with a new owner. Ladybug has had a really rough life - she lost her eye to an accident and now her family cannot take care of her like she needs. When she was rescued, Ladybug was battling a raging skin infection from allergies and fleas. She is now on the mend and is slowly getting her hair back. Ladybug is an almost 2 year old spayed Pug weighing 10 lb. She is up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention. Ladybug was completely trained on pee-pads but is slowly getting better at going potty outside. She does pull when walking but thankfully she is a little petite baby. She gets along great with other dogs and people and she's the biggest wiggle worm! She does love to rule the roost on a couch or recliner if allowed.
