Story
Brindle is the embodiment of "puppy" in that she is extremely playful, incredibly loving, and just wants to be loved. When around other dogs or children, she wants to live life to its fullest. When not around them, and alone with an adult will either play with her toys and keep herself occupied or seek love and attention and potentially a place to nap with her adult. Brindle was found outside the doors of Eisenhower Middle School. We believe she was looking to expand her education. Brindle also goes by the nickname Brendy or Brindy. Brindle has displayed some resource guarding behaviors around her food bowl that her foster parents are working on with her. She is progressing well! Her favorite toy is anything that squeaks that can also be chewed on and her favorite song is Raining Blood by Slayer, she is a rockin' pup! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Welcome Stevie to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 16- month old Pughuahua is our best guess. He is a small dog at 15 pounds. He has a great appetite and isn’t picky on his food. He currently eats in his crate. He is very puppylike and playful. He loves the small dog tennis balls. He likes all toys and will take the fluff out of them if he can. He is good in a crate and currently best friends with a small female playful dog in his foster home. He likes to run and play. He is crate trained and, on a schedule, will do all business outside. He is learning the doggy door. He does respond to the word “no” and stops what he is doing when you say it. He is good in a car and now good on a leash. He is friendly with dogs after he meets them. He would prefer a family of small dogs or no dogs would also be fine. When he goes outside to do his business, he does like his family to stay out there while he does his business. He will not go in his crate and will bark when he needs to go while in his crate. He was found as a stray on the streets of San Antonio. He was picked up by a good Samaritan after her day’s work. She saw him before work and after work he was still there so she took him home. He is now in a CCPAL foster home getting his training so he will be ready for his new forever home. He is not a big shedding dog, has an adorable underbite and a very cute curly tail. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi! I'm Babs, a delightful seven-year-old female pug. I weigh about 16 pounds and am a bundle of love and joy. I’m known for my sweet nature. I adore being talked to and snuggling on the couch or in bed. Wherever you go, I'll be right there following you! I don't jump up onto the bed or couch, but I can jump down easily – my short little legs just don’t have the power to jump up – hee hee! I get along great with both male and female dogs, as long as they're not too big. I can play a bit rough, so my furry friends need to be able to handle that. Chewing on bones and bully sticks is one of my favorite pastimes, but I need supervision with those. I also have a bit of a weakness for chewing on headphones and earbuds, so keep those out of my reach! I’m very food motivated, which makes training me a breeze. Rain and wet ground, however, aren't my favorite—I can be a bit challenging with potty time in those conditions. But on sunny days, I'm good to go! I also do well in the car, so taking trips together will be fun. My favorite activities are cuddling and chewing on bones and bully sticks. I'm not great with young children, though. While I'm potty trained, rainy days can make it a bit tricky for me. I sleep in a crate in the bedroom and stay in a crate when you're gone, but I’m not happy about it and might cry and howl. I’ve never had accidents in the crate, though! I don't require a fenced yard because I walk nicely on a leash and respect the yard boundaries once I know them. I do know the command for "outside" and am generally good with smaller dogs. Having a dog friend is nice, but it's not necessary if my human is home most of the time. I do have some separation anxiety, so I prefer a home where someone is around most of the time. When left in a kennel for up to four hours, I get very upset and will cry and bark. If left out, I might scratch at the door trying to find you.  When I came to MN, I was heartworm positive. I will need to be on heartworm preventative year round, because of that, but it does not affect me one tiny bit! I am an amazing little dog who just needs a lot of love and attention. I truly deserve it! If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly companion who will be your shadow, I’m the one for you. Let's create beautiful memories together! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi I'm Valeria!  I'm a happy little low rider aka I've got short little legs, but they don't slow me down at all!  I love doing zoomies and I'm so fast!  I love being outside on leash walking with my foster mom.  I get to take in all the smells and noises.  There's always lots of new things to explore and rolling in the grass is just the best! When I'm not busy playing with toys or chewing on bones I enjoy cuddling with my person.  I can be quite the adorable lap dog! I'd love to be the only doggie in your life so I can have all of your love to myself.  I'll give you just as many hugs and kisses as you'll give me.  I haven't met any kids but would probably be fine with bigger kids.  I don't always remember my manners and might jump on little ones knocking them over.  I'm doing well on kennel and potty training and I know I'll master then quickly with your help.  I might bark when first going into my kennel so shared walls might not be best.  I want to make sure your neighbors like me haha!  I should also tell you I love food so I'm told that makes training easy peasy.  Why don't we try it out and see? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hey! This girl has seen some things.  I’ve been around a while so you should know that you can’t fool me easily.  While I love people and other dogs, I run the show.  Unless you have chew sticks, then you can run it only until I have it, then it’s back to me, me, me. You see, I was a stray down in Arkansas and Underdog met me there, scooped me up, and brought me to MN - and I gotta say, it's pretty great up here in the North! Now, to find my forever fam... is that you? While I do just fine with the crate, I am still working on nailing the potty training part.  I tested positive for heartworm when I first came up to MN, but I kicked those pesky buggers and now I'm ready to party! Because of that and having to lay low, I haven’t had much practice or experience with a leash.  Now that I’m all cleared for activities, this is something we can work on.  I promise to give it my best go.  Because of those old heartworms, I do need to be on year round heartworm meds, but other than that, nothing more to do! Underdog already took care of that! Speaking of things Underdog took care of, I also had an old eye injury in my left. I can't recall what happened to me, but the good news is the vets helped remove that for me. It was quite painful and as you can see in the pictures of me with two eyes, I held it closed and I'm MUCH happier now! Nothing to do for me now that I'm a solo eyed gal but love me up! I would thoroughly enjoy having a fenced yard, but other pets are optional.  I you do have one (or more), I’d like them to be submissive since I am the queen and all peasants shall bow down to my commands.  Teehee Be warned, I have a shoe fettish, which most queens have also.  So don’t blame me if they go missing but it’s a good educated guess that I’m the culprit.  No matter if they are my size or not. I haven’t been around kids or cats but I’m so chill, I’d likely be ok.  Unless they try taking away my queen status.  Then we’ll need to have a conversation.  If you think I’d fit into your kingdom, go fill out an application so we can rule the land!
