I ’m a little shy meeting people but if you bribe me with treats I warm up in time.  On my walks I shy away from people so it takes me time to get used to strangers. I didn’t get any pets till I came to my foster home. My foster mom showed me how wonderful it is to be petted and curl up beside her when she’s watching tv or reading. If she’s petting my foster sister I nudge my way in cause I want my share. I like the walks my foster dad takes me on and have learned to walk pretty good on a leash. I like to play with toys occasionally. I love the fenced in yard and like to run and play with my foster sister. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. This affectionate girl is a fun mix of sweet and sassy, guaranteed to make you smile every day. She adores snuggling, playing fetch, and tug-of-war with squeaky toys – and yes, she thinks she’s a lapdog! What Clove Brings to the Table: Commands Superstar: She knows sit, lay down, down, stay (still a work in progress), kennel up, and come (when she feels like it – what a diva!). Treat Champion: She takes treats gently and loves all the praise that comes with it. Loves to Play: Whether it’s a game of tug or chasing after a toy, she’s all in! Clove’s Fun Quirks and Progress: Not a Fan of the Cold: She enjoys the great outdoors but would prefer a warm snuggle on chilly days. Loves to howl along with sirens on TV and is a fan of Nicki Minaj. House-Trained in Progress: She’s almost there and catching on fast with only a couple of accidents. Crate-Trained: Clove adjusts well to her crate with just a little initial whining (background music seems to help her relax).
