Story
Snoopy is a 5-year-old pug mix who recently found himself at God’s Dogs Rescue after his owner passed away. Though reserved at first, he is settling into his foster home and loving every bit of the comfort and love it provides. Snoopy is a mellow, affectionate pup who adores being petted and snuggling up with his favorite people. His sturdy little frame may be on the chonky side, but he can still zip around when the mood strikes! Snoopy is crate trained, housebroken, and does well on a leash. He is quiet, calm, and good with cats, making him an easygoing companion. Though he has been with his sister Sweetpea all his life, he is ready to find a loving home of his own where he can be cherished. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxRequires another confident dog No children under 12 Hi my name is Zach I came from a hoarder/breeder situation. I ’m a little shy meeting people but if you bribe me with treats I warm up in time.  On my walks I shy away from people so it takes me time to get used to strangers. I didn’t get any pets till I came to my foster home. My foster mom showed me how wonderful it is to be petted and curl up beside her when she’s watching tv or reading. If she’s petting my foster sister I nudge my way in cause I want my share. I like the walks my foster dad takes me on and have learned to walk pretty good on a leash. I like to play with toys occasionally. I love the fenced in yard and like to run and play with my foster sister. I’m a sweet and loving boy looking for my furever home. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //

Story
Meet Roberto, aka Bob! Bob is a Pug mix born approx 4/3/2020. Bob is a sweet, easy-going snuggle bug who's looking for his forever home! This adorable little guy may be small, but his heart is huge. He loves nothing more than curling up on a lap for some quality cuddle time, making him the perfect companion for a cozy evening in. Whether you're working from home, cooking, or relaxing on the couch, Bob will be by your side, always ready to offer some gentle companionship. Bob is great on a leash, so he's fun to walk and explore with. He's also amazing with people of all ages, from kids to adults, and gets along just fine with dogs and cats—though he's mostly indifferent to them. Bob’s quiet nature means the only time he barks is when the resident dogs start to bark. He likes car rides, especially if he's on someone's lap.  Currently, Bob is working on potty training and crate training, but he's making progress each day! He’s a quick learner and is ready to find a family that will appreciate his sweet, gentle nature.  Not much is known about Bob's life before he came into rescue, but what we do know is this: he’s a survivor. Rescued from the streets of Mexico or Southern California, Bob came to us with dental issues and cataracts - but thanks to the wonderful care of our veterinarian, his mouth is now in tip-top shape, and his cataracts don’t slow him down one bit. Despite everything he’s been through, Bob is living his best life—exploring the world with curiosity, tail wags, and a spirit that refuses to quit. He’s a gentle, lovable companion who’s ready to find a forever home that will cherish him for the treasure he is...a true diamond in the 'ruff'. If you're looking for a loving companion to follow you around the house and keep you company, Bob might be the perfect fit! He’s got all the makings of an amazing furry friend—just waiting for the right person to give him a forever home.     Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Dental, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 23, 2025, 7:29 am

Story
Oh, hi! My full name is Hot Cocoa, but you can call me your new best friend if you’d like! I’m a curious, friendly pup who just wants to love everyone. I’m looking for a family that I can call my own, and I’m hoping that I find them soon! My perfect day would involve lots of exploring and playing, mixed with snuggles and naps! Here are some other things I’d like you to know.I love toys, especially the ones I can chew on.Exploring outside is my favorite thing!I have so much love to give, and I'm ready to be the sidekick on your next adventure!I would be so happy if you came to visit me in person, so then we could see that we’re the perfect match. I know that we could make many great memories together. I will be patiently waiting to meet you!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $500To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Honey – affectionately known as Honey Bee or Honey Pot – a gentle soul just beginning to find her wings. Before rescue, Honey's world was heartbreakingly small—her only purpose was to produce puppies. She never knew the joy of toys, the comfort of a warm lap, or the simple magic of a kind touch. But all of that is changing now. As a breeder release dog, Honey is just beginning to explore life outside of a kennel. Everything is new: the feel of soft carpet under her paws, the rustle of leaves in the yard, the rhythm of daily life in a real home. It can be overwhelming at times, but she’s making steady, beautiful progress with the help of her loving foster. It took Honey a full week to feel brave enough to walk across the floors in her foster home, and two weeks before she stepped onto the grass. Stairs are still too scary, so she’ll need a home without them—or with patient adopters willing to carry her until she’s ready. She’s never been leashed before and currently flattens herself to the ground when one is clipped on. Because of this, a securely fenced yard is a must—leash walks or long leads simply aren’t an option for her right now. But here’s some sweet news: Honey is now pee pad trained! She’s learning her routines and responding well to structure and praise. With time and consistency, she has the potential to transition to outdoor potty training as her confidence grows. Her ideal home is a quiet, calm space with a confident, dog-savvy canine companion to show her how wonderful life can be. She learns best by watching and following another dog’s lead, and she feels safest when she’s not alone in her journey. Because she’s still mastering her potty training, Honey is not a good match for rental housing with strict pet rules. She’ll need understanding adopters who can handle a few early accidents with grace and compassion. Honey isn’t the kind of dog who will run into your arms on day one. But if you give her time, patience, and gentle reassurance, she will slowly blossom into the loyal, loving companion she was always meant to be. Are you the kind of person who celebrates small victories, who understands that the quietest dogs often have the most profound stories to tell? If so, Honey might just be waiting for you to help her write her next chapter.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal?
