Story
Meet Wendy! Wendy is a sweet and spunky 5-year-old pug who traveled all the way from Mexico in search of her forever family. She’s the perfect mix of playful and cuddly—always up for a game, but happiest when snuggled up on a warm lap. Wendy is a social butterfly who loves every human and dog she meets, making friends wherever she goes. She’s highly food-motivated (treats are the way to her heart!) and will eagerly show off her best puppy-dog eyes for a snack. Wendy is still adjusting to her new environment, and we’re working on potty training outside. She’s making great progress, but she’ll need a patient family to continue helping her with consistency and positive reinforcement. Whether she’s playing, exploring, or simply soaking up love, Wendy’s tail never stops wagging. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion who will brighten your days, Wendy is your girl! Could you be her perfect match? Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org Adoption fee is $350 plus tax.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Honey (also lovingly known as Honey Bee and Honey Pot) Before rescue, Honey’s world was limited to producing puppies, never experiencing the warmth of a loving home or the simple joy of being a cherished companion. As a breeder release dog, she’s just beginning to discover life beyond the confines of a kennel—and while it’s exciting, it can also be overwhelming for her. Honey needs time, patience, and gentle understanding as she learns how to be a dog. She’s not yet potty trained and will thrive with a structured routine to help guide her progress. It took her a full week to feel brave enough to walk on the floors in her foster home and two weeks to venture onto the grass outside. Stairs are still too intimidating, so she’ll need a home without them or with adopters who can carry her as she gains confidence. Honey has never been leashed and will completely flatten out when one is put on her. Because of this, a securely fenced yard is a must—she cannot be walked to go potty or placed on a long lead at this time. Additionally, due to her current potty training challenges, she cannot be placed in a rental home, as accidents are to be expected, and many rental agreements have strict policies regarding this. What Honey needs most is a confident, well-adjusted dog companion to show her the ropes—someone to help her feel safe and teach her that people can be kind. Her ideal home will be calm and nurturing, with adopters who are ready to celebrate the small victories and offer gentle reassurance as she slowly blossoms into the dog she was always meant to be. Watching her gain confidence will be one of the most rewarding experiences for the right family. Could you be the one to help Honey write the next chapter of her life? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi There! I’m Penelope! My approximate DOB is June of 2021. I’m a stocky little girl pug with a lot of personality!  I came from a large breeder that decided to downsize so likely wasn’t walked much and am working hard on learning to potty outside. If another dog goes out I will follow and do what they do, though. I love, love LOVE attention and will sit on your lap every chance I get and look right in your eyes demanding pets and kisses.   I’m a bit protective of my new loving foster home so I don’t warm up to strangers immediately. The first time you meet me, I will bark and bark and suspiciously smell you until I know you are a friend and not going to do anything to my people. Eventually though, I can be your bestest little buddy.   I’m about as Pug-ish is I can be so if you love the breed, I may be the gal for you!   NOTE: Penelope had a reaction to anesthesia during her routine spay where she had to be resusitated. Her adopter will need to be aware of this going forward for any other procedures as a different anesthetic approach may be necessary.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal?
