You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxRequires another confident dog No children under 12 Hi my name is Zach I came from a hoarder/breeder situation. I ’m a little shy meeting people but if you bribe me with treats I warm up in time.  On my walks I shy away from people so it takes me time to get used to strangers. I didn’t get any pets till I came to my foster home. My foster mom showed me how wonderful it is to be petted and curl up beside her when she’s watching tv or reading. If she’s petting my foster sister I nudge my way in cause I want my share. I like the walks my foster dad takes me on and have learned to walk pretty good on a leash. I like to play with toys occasionally. I love the fenced in yard and like to run and play with my foster sister. I’m a sweet and loving boy looking for my furever home. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi I'm Valeria!  I'm a happy little low rider aka I've got short little legs, but they don't slow me down at all!  I love doing zoomies and I'm so fast!  I love being outside on leash walking with my foster mom.  I get to take in all the smells and noises.  There's always lots of new things to explore and rolling in the grass is just the best! When I'm not busy playing with toys or chewing on bones I enjoy cuddling with my person.  I can be quite the adorable lap dog! I'd love to be the only doggie in your life so I can have all of your love to myself.  I'll give you just as many hugs and kisses as you'll give me.  I haven't met any kids but would probably be fine with bigger kids.  I don't always remember my manners and might jump on little ones knocking them over.  I'm doing well on kennel and potty training and I know I'll master then quickly with your help.  I might bark when first going into my kennel so shared walls might not be best.  I want to make sure your neighbors like me haha!  I should also tell you I love food so I'm told that makes training easy peasy.  Why don't we try it out and see? Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi I'm Coretta!  I'm a sweet girl who can be a little shy with people. I'm quickly learning that people are good though.  Once you start scratching my back then I just melt with happiness!  I can't get enough!  I'm good im the bath and then comes the best part.... rubs with the towel!  It makes me all happy and squirmy and I dive into the blanket and get body wiggles.  I'll show you my thanks by covering you in happy kisses.  Know what's unique about me? I have no tail! This is a genetic trait that I was born without a tail, so now everyone will think I'm a bulldog, but I'm not! All pug here! I'm good with other dogs and enjoy games of chase.  I don't need another dog though since I can entertain myself with toys or chew bones.  I'm working on leash, potty and kennel training.  I know I can master all of them with you by my side.  I haven't met any little kids, but with my silly personality I'd probably like them just fine.  If you can give me a bit of patience you will soon see the happy silly girl that I am! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Fiona, the goofy, high-energy pug mix puppy who's ready to bring joy and playfulness to her new family! Sadly, her family had to move and couldn’t take her along. Fiona is friendly with everyone—kids, adults, seniors, and dogs of all sizes. She’s already potty trained (though she might need a bit of patience settling into a new routine) and crate trained, but she’ll make sure you know when she’s eager to come out and play with her dog friends! This playful pup loves to fetch, chase toys, and show off her silly side. With boundless energy, Fiona would thrive in a home with another playful dog to keep her busy or an active family who can keep up with her zest for life. She’s always thrilled to meet new friends and will fill your home with smiles and laughter. If you're looking for a happy, affectionate pup who lives for fun, Fiona is the one for you! Fiona is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee: $400 plus tax Cypress has an incredible zest for life and loves being included in whatever his person is doing! His big, bright smile has the power to turn any frown upside down. This good boy brings the fun no matter what the situation.    He loves to chase the ball around the yard and is so fast that none of his foster siblings comes remotely close to matching his speed! He LOVES going for car rides and does well in the car. Walks are another popular activity… what dog doesn’t like walks right? However, Cypress practically goes into orbit when his leash gets brought out!  It’s a spectacle to behold for sure – truly amazing!   He RACES into his crate when it’s mealtime and is a pro at staying in his crate when he's left at home. He's over the puppy chewing stage though so he sometimes gets to stay out in the bedroom when his foster owners go out.   He sometimes needs a gradual introduction to new dogs because he gets so excited that he’s not sure if he should be afraid or be playful.  He has had dogs gang up on him before so he’s unsure if he needs to defend himself at first.  He has been introduced to several new dogs in his current foster home and gets used to new ones within a couple of days now.  In his foster home, he has good doggie manners and doesn't try to play with the ones that tell him they'd rather not play at the moment.   He is pretty good at meeting strangers, although every once in a while he gets afraid of men. Doesn’t take long to change his mind though if treats are involved. He has met a handful of different aged kids and he seems to enjoy getting attention from them. He’s not very big but he is a ball of energy so he might be too bouncy for toddlers.    Whoever adopts this boy will have no choice but to smile every day when they look at his smiling face and see his wiggle butt!       Check out my videos!
