Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cagney is an approximately 3 year old pug/beagle (puggle) mix who was witnessed being dumped near a rural property. He was held for a legal stray hold but of course no one claimed him. He's a pretty cool guy who is already neutered and seems to have had some training. He does have the appearance of a puggle but has a coat that is a bit thicker and softer so there's probably something else in there, too. He will be vet checked and chipped on Dec. 6th and his fee is $150. We think that Cagney would do okay with other well mannered dogs. We don't know about cats. Kids should be fine with him as long as they're supervised. He will need some regular exercise. He's kind of between small and medium size. He just arrived at our shelter on Dec. 1st so we'll update his bio as we get to know him better. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 2, 2024, 3:18 pm

Story
Rose is estimated to be about 15 years old but she certainly doesn't act her age. She is very active and enjoys walks (in nice weather) and loves car rides. Rose is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives and is in very good health. She is very affectionate and enjoys tummy rubs and sitting close to people she knows and loves. Rose has had a tough life, she has been abandoned a few times and was probably abused as well, so she has trust issues. Once she loves and respects you she is great! She will need a very quiet home with loving adults (no children) who will respect her. Rose would do well with another small dog who is not dominant. Rose has some special needs due to her abusive and neglectful past so she needs a special person to spend the rest of her life with. That person will certainly reap the benefits of having a very loyal, loving and protective friend. (CS)
