Story
**HAS BEEN LIVING IN BOARDING FOR A YEAR, URGENTLY NEEDS AN ADOPTER OR FOSTER** Dakota is a very, very special girl looking for a very, very special home. This petite (she's about 30 lbs) terrier mix suffers from a metabolic condition that makes it very hard for her to gain and maintain weight. She spent several months hospitalized at our veterinarian before they found a diet and supplement plan that works for her - but she is finally steadily gaining weight and ready to transition into a home. She is young (estimated to be 1 to 2 years old) and active, vibrant and healthy. She will need a special diet and supplement plan for the remainder of her life - which means she will need a special family willing to provide for these special needs for her. Her enzyme supplements are not extremely expensive and she is otherwise a young, happy, healthy girl. Dakota LOVES kids and doesn't know a stranger. She loves to snuggle up with every single person she meets. Dakota also needs to be the only pet in the home. She has a typical terrier personality and wants to be the spoiled only fur child in her home. She is active, energetic and young and needs a home prepared to continue to work on basic manners but she is a happy, spirited energy that any family would be so lucky to have.  This girl needs her second chance at truly having a home and family of her own. We are willing to waive her adoption fee to a foster-to-adopt home and provide her first bag of food and supply of supplements and medications.  Located in Orlando, FL area.  ##2018557##
