You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Do Not Apply for a pet with PENDING in the name bar.  They have been matched with a home, but not adopted yet. Tommy is 5 months old. He is shy when he meets you. He warms up quickly and his playful pug personality emerges. He gets along well with others. He was surrendered to rescue because he is cryptorchid, has an undescended testicle. His neuter will be more invasive if it does not descend. This is not a major health issue and it is easily corrected. He will need work on housetraining. Adoption fee is 850.00. He is in boarding in the midwest. Adoption fee includes transport to the NE or SE.  You pay adoption fee when you pick up. We prefer a home who has experience with pugs.   Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a  $20.00  donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Your application will remain on file for a year. Applications are available at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com under forms/application. Donation should be made through Paypal at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com. We are only available by phone after you have an approved application. All pets are located in the southeast. Transport is available to the NE for an additional $300.00 transport fee. We do not adopt in MA, RI due to import laws. Residents MUST pick up in CT. All dogs over 8 months will be spayed or neutered and heartworm tested. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated,microchipped, dewormed and treated for other parasites. Please read the FAQ on our website for additional information. Adoption fees are cash or money order only. Our beautiful Pugnelope is ready to find her forever home. She has absolutely blossomed in her foster home. She is playing with toys, enjoying snuggles, and loves to snooze on the couch. Pugnelope is about 4 years old, housebroken, crate trained, and loves everyone. She does love to sleep in the bed, so a home that will continue to pamper her is ideal. Fenced in yard required as she loves to explore and sunbath. Because of her history, she would do best in a home with older children. Younger children may overwhelm her. Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Meet Moana - the 9-month-old female Chug (possible pug/chihuahua mix) who lives up to her name. Just like the Disney character, Moana is adorably cute, active, mischievous and very smart. She is also resilient.  Moana had a rough start in her young life. She was found as a stray with rubber bands tied so tightly around her ears that she ended up losing the bottom half of each ear. As sad as that is, she has rebounded from that abuse and left all that in her past. She is filled with so much love. Though she is a bit shy when you first meet her, she quickly comes out of her shell and will make you laugh with her silly personality. Once she trusts you, she will shower you with kisses and affection. Moana will also be your constant shadow, following you from room to room and snuggling on the couch and bed.   She is good with cats and loves all dogs she meets, from small to large, she just wants to play. A home with another dog as a companion would be ideal. Moana is also good with children but she can play rough sometimes so older children would be a better match. And because she is so playful and full of energy she would not do well in an apartment, she needs a home with a fenced yard for her daily zoomies. She walks well on a leash and rides great in the car. She’s also housebroken but needs to be let out frequently as she is still a puppy.  Moana is just a wonderful puppy, filled with so much love to give to the right family.
