Story
Sonny and Sassy were 2 dogs living in a North Florida home along with 35 other dogs. They were sent to Wakulla Animal Services and were there for 7 months and not adopted because they were terrified of people. This is the result of extreme hoarding due to not being handled. The shelter asked us to take them in hopes of becoming adoptable. These two are very comfortable with the 17 other dogs and pups in the rescue. They follow the heels of their foster mom everywhere, all the time, but when attempting to pick up, they run away. They are a work in progress. Sassy especially wants to bond, as she has a bit of separation anxiety and will whimper until she sees her foster mom. Both dogs have been spayed, neutered, vaccinated, and are heartworm negative. Each dog's adoption fee is $280. Applications to adopt are at kathisk9s.org Meet greets are scheduled only for approved applicants

Story
Hunk is a good boy.  We got a call about him running the street and being saved by good Samaritans. They couldn't hold him because they were leaving town.  We didn't want to see him left on the street after the storm so we picked him up.  He is a BIG sweetheart. We don't know much about him but we do know that he needs a family because no one ever claimed him. We named him Hunk because... well..  he is so handsome!! Story
We Need Great Foster Homes for our KidsWe are a large Boston Terrier Rescue serving the entire Southeastern United States.    We have many Bostons, Boston mixes, and others surrendered to us every year because of many different reasons.   Some are young, some older, some seniors, but very few are pups. Our rescue will never turn away any Boston regardless of their age, health problems or behavior issues.  We have a critical need for foster homes, both temporary and long term in all the areas we cover:  TN, GA, KY, SC, NC, VA, MD and FL     If you believe you might be interested in fostering one of our kids, please complete the Foster/Adopt application on our website at www.bostonterriertn.org   Note:  there is no application fee for foster families          Please use the foster momma or dad's contact information above for questions. The process always begins with an application which can be found at The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee website Note that in most cases, we do not adopt to families with small children, e.g., 'under 6,' as a precaution to the child's safety and the dog's safety. In some cases with larger Boston mixes or other dogs, we do make exceptions. Please ask the foster momma. We prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to personally drive/fly to get the dog.  The East Coast division (NC/SC/VA/MD/DC) does have special transport capabilties for their kids.   Ask them. Also, submission of an application and fee does not guarantee adoption of any specific Boston since that particular dog may have applications pending or may not be the right match for you.October 1, 2022, 10:21 pm

Story
Hi! My name is Stitch and I’m a loving Boston Terrier looking for my fur-ever home! I absolutely adore people and would make a fantastic companion in a quiet household with no other dogs, cats, or young children under 12 years of age. I love to snuggle, play fetch, travel, shake my butt, kiss my humans, and eat all the treats! I have a very calm and quiet temperament, but I am other-dog reactive, and so I need to be the only dog in the household. I love to go on walks and travel, but I do need to keep my distance from other dogs when out in public as barking or loud noises can make me very nervous. I also know lots of tricks including stay, sit, place, jump, and am very treat motivated to learn more! I’m ready to snuggle up next to you during your next Netflix binge.   The Basics Age: 5 yrs Weight: 22.5 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes Microchipped: Yes Vaccines Up-to-Date: Yes On Heartworm Prevention: Yes On Flea/Tick Prevention: Yes House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes Leash Skills: Yes Medical: Requires 1 drop of Diclofenac Sodium in the left eye daily.   Likes/Dislikes Toys: Loves all toys and is gentle with them. Other Animals: Stitch is reactive to other dogs and needs to be the only cat/dog in the household. People/Kids: Stitch loves people. Not suited for a home with small kids (under 12 yrs old). Car Rides: Loves car rides and makes a perfect traveling companion for long trips. Separation: No issues with separation anxiety.   Contact/Application Info Questions?
