Story
Lola / Holiday, FL Available for adoption Viprescue.org Age: 8yrs Breed: Pug/beagle mix Weight: currently 25 lbs. (should be 18-20 lbs) Gender: Female House trained: yes Location: Holiday FL Color: tan Good with dogs: Yes Not cat tested Fenced yard recommended Hi there everyone! I’m Lola, a very sweet 8 year old Pug-Beagle mix gal. First, let me apologize as I’m a bit overweight, but am working real hard to lose those excess pounds. My foster parents have me on a low calorie diet, and while I’m not crazy about it because it’s so different than the human food I’m used to eating, I am coping with the change and have already lost over 2 pounds! Yeah me!! My friend Bailey (see separate post) and I came to VIP Rescue after we were taken in by Animal Control after our human passed away. I had a couple lumpy bump that needed to be surgically removed, along with a fresh dental and my friends here at VIP took care of that for me. Now I’m all ready to find a new home! My foster parents love that I am such a sweet girl. I get along with all the other dogs in the house and like to play when I can coax someone into playing with me. Otherwise, I’m quite content to hang with my humans while they do whatever they do. I do exhibit a few of the Beagle traits. Sometimes I like to howl at noises I don’t understand. I’d also be a good watchdog, I like to monitor my surroundings and sound the alarm when something seems amiss. Arooooooooo! My Pug traits are more dominant though. I have a happy tail that is more Pug than “Beagley” My curiosity and head tilts are already legendary with foster Mom and Dad. I will barge through closed doors if I get the chance, just like my Pug brother. While I’m generally very easy going, strange noises might frighten me. When foster Mom was using the trimmer, for example, I felt compelled to attack it because I didn’t know what it was! Also, watch your plants; I like to sneak a nibble now and then. I guess that makes me a normal dog just trying to make her way in the world, right? ? I just know if you met me, you’ll fall in love. I’m spayed, microchipped, fresh dental current on my vaccines and on heartworm and flea prevention. Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application if you’re interested in me! ? If you think I might be the girly for you, maybe with my buddy Bailey please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 15-18 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan. All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, with families, jobs and pets of our own, so please be kind and patient. We select the most fitting application for the dog, not necessarily the timeliest adoption application. Please make sure to read the entire bio on the pet you’re interested in before applying to adopt to make sure you meet the pets needs. Thank you for thinking rescue.
