You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Do Not Apply for a pet with PENDING in the name bar.  They have been matched with a home, but not adopted yet. Pansy is 4 months old and weighs 8 lbs. She is an adorable chubby girl with a sweet pug personality. She is a little shy when she meets you but warms up quickly. There are no known health issues. She  was surrendered by a breeder and she is currently in boarding in the midwest. Adoption fee is 950.00 and includes transport to the Northeast or Southeast. We prefer a home who has experience with pugs or similar breeds. Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a  $20.00  donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Your application will remain on file for a year. Applications are available at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com under forms/application. Donation should be made through Paypal at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com. We are only available by phone after you have an approved application. All pets are located in the southeast. Transport is available to the NE for an additional $300.00 transport fee. We do not adopt in MA, RI due to import laws. Residents MUST pick up in CT. All dogs over 8 months will be spayed or neutered and heartworm tested. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated,microchipped, dewormed and treated for other parasites. Please read the FAQ on our website for additional information. Adoption fees are cash or money order only. Story
Coco is being fostered in PA and has some vision. Coco is a very, very sweet girl whose favorite pastime is napping. She loves being scratched just about anywhere by her human and is a very go-with-the-flow girl, being great with people of all ages. She is wonderful with other dogs and cats if they do not get right in her face. Even then, she'll just give them a sharp bark to try to get them to leave. Her high-strung, young, maltipoo foster brother is NOT her favorite at all. She is a champion sleeper and often needs to be awakened to eat her breakfast and dinner. She will not indicate a need to go outside but is very aware that outside means "potty time" and she gets right down to business. She has trimmed down quite a bit and should still lose a few pounds, but she is moving much better since losing the 7 pounds she has. She loves being outside to sniff around and to just sit and sniff. She is not a fan of leash walks and will simply sit after a couple minutes. If you are looking for a sweet, well-behaved couch potato, Coco is definitely your girl! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cute little Gumby came to PRBJ from another shelter hoping to get more exposure and help him find his forever home.    A stand-alone, quiet, adult-only home (no apartments/condos)  would be ideal as he can be overwhelmed by new people or groups of people.    Just one or two adults and no children are best for this little guy.Like many dogs, he really appreciates humans who are patient with him.He does enjoy his food and is potty trained.  Gumby likes to go out for walks but does pull a little.  He seems to do well on car rides.  He is still new to the rescue so we are evaluating his behavior with other dogs, cats and staff and will update his page as we learn more about him.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 17, 2025, 9:29 am

Hershey is so loved but she does not get along with my older dogs and while she LOVES my kids it takes time for her to warm up to someone she doesn’t know . She will be a good dog to someone that doesn’t have a lot of kids coming in and out of the house . We have neighborhood kids that come over often and she is always trying to get out the door . She would be good for someone that doesn’t have the door opening all the time .

Tank is a very loving dog. He is 8 years old. He has been with us since he was 2. His original owner purchased him and he is a pure bred Victoria bulldog they told us. He was kept in a cage in a kitchen for the first two years of his life. Since we have had him we kept the cage but only put him in the cage at night time because he will roam the house and chew things or eat them. He goes outside and to his cage when he is asked. He is stubborn so sometimes he will not listen right away. If he doesn’t like something he can be very noisy by moaning. He doesn’t eat much but does drink a lot. He likes attention a lot but will lay down and sleep a lot as well.
