Pansy is 4 months old and weighs 8 lbs. She is an adorable chubby girl with a sweet pug personality. She is a little shy when she meets you but warms up quickly. There are no known health issues. She was surrendered by a breeder and she is currently in boarding in the midwest. Adoption fee is 950.00 and includes transport to the Northeast or Southeast. We prefer a home who has experience with pugs or similar breeds. Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a $20.00 donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Your application will remain on file for a year. Applications are available at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com under forms/application. Donation should be made through Paypal at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com. We are only available by phone after you have an approved application. All pets are located in the southeast. Transport is available to the NE for an additional $300.00 transport fee. We do not adopt in MA, RI due to import laws. Residents MUST pick up in CT. All dogs over 8 months will be spayed or neutered and heartworm tested. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated,microchipped, dewormed and treated for other parasites. Tommy is 5 months old. He is shy when he meets you. He warms up quickly and his playful pug personality emerges. He gets along well with others. He was surrendered to rescue because he is cryptorchid, has an undescended testicle. His neuter will be more invasive if it does not descend. This is not a major health issue and it is easily corrected. He will need work on housetraining. Adoption fee is 850.00. He is in boarding in the midwest. Story

Coco is being fostered in PA and has some vision. Coco is a very, very sweet girl whose favorite pastime is napping. She loves being scratched just about anywhere by her human and is a very go-with-the-flow girl, being great with people of all ages. She is wonderful with other dogs and cats if they do not get right in her face. Even then, she'll just give them a sharp bark to try to get them to leave. Her high-strung, young, maltipoo foster brother is NOT her favorite at all. She is a champion sleeper and often needs to be awakened to eat her breakfast and dinner. She will not indicate a need to go outside but is very aware that outside means "potty time" and she gets right down to business. She has trimmed down quite a bit and should still lose a few pounds, but she is moving much better since losing the 7 pounds she has. She loves being outside to sniff around and to just sit and sniff. She is not a fan of leash walks and will simply sit after a couple minutes. If you are looking for a sweet, well-behaved couch potato, Coco is definitely your girl! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

He does not like children so he needs a home that is adult only with just one or two adults. Like many dogs, he appreciates humans who are patient with him.He does enjoy his food and is potty trained. Gumby likes to go out for walks but does pull a little. He seems to do well on car rides. Apply to Adopt Me! Meet Moana - the 9-month-old female Chug (possible pug/chihuahua mix) who lives up to her name. Just like the Disney character, Moana is adorably cute, active, mischievous and very smart. She is also resilient. Moana had a rough start in her young life. She was found as a stray with rubber bands tied so tightly around her ears that she ended up losing the bottom half of each ear. As sad as that is, she has rebounded from that abuse and left all that in her past. She is filled with so much love. Though she is a bit shy when you first meet her, she quickly comes out of her shell and will make you laugh with her silly personality. Once she trusts you, she will shower you with kisses and affection. Moana will also be your constant shadow, following you from room to room and snuggling on the couch and bed. She is good with cats and loves all dogs she meets, from small to large, she just wants to play. A home with another dog as a companion would be ideal. Moana is also good with children but she can play rough sometimes so older children would be a better match. And because she is so playful and full of energy she would not do well in an apartment, she needs a home with a fenced yard for her daily zoomies. She walks well on a leash and rides great in the car. She’s also housebroken but needs to be let out frequently as she is still a puppy. Moana is just a wonderful puppy, filled with so much love to give to the right family.
