She is 9 years old and weighs about 13 pounds. She has dry eye and cannot see well. Our adoption center & Spay Clinic is open by appointment with approved application. We are located at 571 NE 44th Street, the NW corner of Prospect (44th) and 6th in Oakland Park, FL. Our application is available online: www.animal-aid.com where you can also view all of our adoptable dogs and cats. The $200 donation we are requesting will help the next dog or cat in need and includes our medical program; 5-way vaccines, rabies vaccine, de-worming, blood test for heartworm and tick diseases, spay or neuter and microchip ID. November 26, 2024, 8:49 pm

 Mimi Rose is an absolutely terrific lady, with a big, fun, and wonderful personality. She approaches every day with enthusiasm and gusto, and is so much fun to be with. Mimi Rose is 11 years old, but in good condition and full of energy, which she loves to share with people. She enjoys all kinds of activities, especially brisk leash walks, snuggling and petting in a cozy bed, toys, and silly playtime. Mimi Rose is a unique and beautiful Boston Terrier mix, and about 15 pounds. She would be fine as the only dog in her new home, or with a mellow and respectful other dog. It is just tragic that this great girl has been at the rescue for 2 years, when she will make someone a fantastic companion, and bring lots of fun and joy to a new family. Hope cannot give or receive enough love and snuggles. She doesn’t care that she is a 50 pound English Bulldog, she just wants to cuddle up in your lap like a little pup, and give hugs and kisses. After being used to breed, likely multiple times, this wonderful girl is thrilled to receive kindness, attention, playtime, and go for walks. Although only about 2-3 years old, Hope has good manners, is well behaved, and gets along with other dogs. Ethel has the sweetest personality and is nothing short of a wonderful ball of sunshine. She can brighten the darkest of days; her happy energy is infectious -- there is no not smiling when around this pretty girl, and without a doubt, her affectionate ways will remind you that you are always loved. Ethel enjoys going for walks, sleeping on soft beds, her toys and just being with people. Ethel is good with kids and has been around other dogs, but can be selective as to who she wants her four-legged friends to be, so a meet and greet would be required with current pets. Once an abandoned dog, Ethel was in horrible condition when we rescued her -- her every day had been a fight for survival, but you would never know it as Ethel has no time for grudges when there are so many reasons to be happy!
