Story
Name: Enzo Nicknames: Lorenzo. Enzy Benzy. Enzo Benzo. Hulk. Breed: Pug Mix..with what you may ask? who knows. Age: ~2 years Weight: ~42 lbs. A hefty and healthy beefcake. Before OMD: Found as a stray, but owner was identified and then signed him over to the city shelter. Shortly after he became an OMD Rescue pup when a foster stepped up. Reminds us of: A linebacker mixed with a sumo wrestler. Also: Just give him a cigar, tophat, and a deck of cards for poker... Energy Level: Low/medium. For a young guy, Enzo is chill. He loves his walks and is an extreme sniffer, wants to investigate everything and greet everyone. He is content to sleep and snore by your feet during the day, and side at night. Short bursts of hilarious energy are followed by peaceful, long snore sessions. What we love most: His rolls. The size of his ginormous head, which is in proportion to the massive amounts of affection he is ready to give. His passion for snuggling and naps. His sweet, care-taking demeanor with his foster Pug brother. His can-do attitude – up for anything adventurer. What he loves most: Foster mom. The corner of the couch pillows. Belly rubs. Cuddling. Car rides. Need to know: Enzo is a resource guarder and needs an experienced (with a good sense of humor) adopter. He guards the more "traditional" things like his food bowl, bones, and toys but also the more non-traditional things like his beloved couch cushions and blankets. One time he guarded the refrigerator from his temp foster (insert joke about meeting our dieting goals…..who needs ozempic?). Enzo will thrive with boundaries, structure, routine, and continued training and management. Kids: Nope. see above. Dogs: He has met many dogs and done well. He does best with dogs his size and smaller. Cats: Unknown Housetrained: Yes Crate trained: Yes, but will bark initially Vet note: Enzo has been diagnosed with Pigmentary keratitis by an opthamologist. He has good vision, but is given daily eye drops and ointment and will need a follow up with an opthamologist in 2 months. Enzo is not a fan of vet exams and gets very spicy during close examination of his face so he does need to be sedated. Enzo is vaccinated, neutered, had a dental/broker tooth removed, and microchipped. He is available for adoption to residents of CT and IL and their surrounding states. Story
Margo is located in Texas. Transportation is available for any out of state approved adopter. Cost of transportation is $230 in addition to her adoption fee. Margo is a sweet, affectionate little cutie! She gets along with others, even though she can get a little bossy if one of them is in her foster mom’s lap. She’s a tad bit jealous. She loves to play. We are not sure of her history but apparently she traveled some. Riding in a car doesn’t seem new to her. We aren’t sure of her breed but her curly tail suggests a Pug mix.*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Can a dog be any cuter than 1 year old Apollo? I think not! Energetic, silly, loving loyal, snuggly-all these apply! He is an Oripei-that is a mix of Pug and SharPei so he has that lovely wrinkly body! Give him a squeaky toy or a ball and he is in his element! A favorite is a yellow yeti toy that he will bring up with him onto the couch but then it rolls off and he is left looking down at it! He is also a lover of walks and at the end of the day, he loves nothing more than snuggling up to you and watching a bit of TV-I wonder what his favorite show is?? If we were to ask him what his favorite home would be it would go something like this. "I want my people to love me, take me on long walks, and snuggle with me. I like kids, although I may sneak a kiss or two, I like most dogs when they like me, and I have no idea if I'd like cats since I've never been with one." "I do talk a bit when I want something but I don't bark a lot." Now, on to the specifics-he is young, about 1 year old, weighs in at 36 lbs. If you'd like to know more about this really special guy, please call Our Companions Animal Rescue at 860-242-9999 or e-mail to daryl@ourcompanions.org

Story
Look at how darn cute I am! I am a sweet little girl who is looking for her forever home. I am only 8 months so I have lots of time to get used to whatever family I get adopted to. I have been spayed already though so that is not something you need to worry about. Please keep in mind I am very small right now so if you have rambunctious kids that's great but just make sure they play gentle with me, same goes of big dogs too. Or even big cats, cos some of them are bigger than me! Make all my dreams come true. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
Available for adoption! Sam is all puppy! Loves to run & play but will settle in for some cuddles if you invite him. He does well with considerate dogs of any size and the same goes for children old enough to handle his active play style. He did well when meeting a kitty, even gave her a kiss on her nose.  The family that he selects as his own would be blessed!   Whitey's Only Wish is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue. Donations are deductible as permitted by law.

Meet Shelia! Shelia is a ham! Shelia came from the Mississippi Delta and her personality is in true form with her southern roots…beautiful, gracious and thankful with a sprinkle of a sense of humor. Shelia is heart-worm negative and ready to go be your little lady. He/she is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Story
Meet Mercy. Mercy has had a hard go of it and she needs that special someone to show her the love and attention she deserves. She came to Southern Mutts in Mississippi with an eye missing and a dislocated jaw. However, all of those injuries did not make her bitter or angry. She is a loving and sweet dog. Her eye is completely healed and her jaw does not keep her from eating (trust me). Even with the eye and the jaw, she is not a special needs dog…she’s just a special dog. She is heart worm negative and ready to wink at you for the rest of her life. He/she is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped.
