Story
Hi. My name is Poppy, and I am a Pug/Chihuahua mix.  I am 14 months old, weigh about nine pounds and everyone says I am cute as a button and full of personality. I love to play, take walks, ride in the car, and snuggle. I have a lot of foster mutt siblings at my foster home. I like most of them, but one is really big. Foster mama says he weighs thirty pounds! She tells me he is very friendly, but I am not so sure of that, so I have to show him who’s boss. Foster mama says I can be protective of my favorite human around the other resident mutts. She says it's understandable because I didn't have the easiest past and so I want to make sure I keep tabs on the nice humans.  My best fit forever family or human would be a patient and loving adult or adults, maybe with another dog my size.  I like treats, lots of cuddles, and sleeping curled up with my human. I also like to go wherever my human is going. Sometimes I dash out the door in excitement, but I come back when mama calls. My new family will have to understand that I am just a little thing. The world can be scary, and I need to show how brave and fierce I am. (Mama says that is the Chihuahua in me.) If you're interested in adopting Poppy, please fill out an adoption application here: https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/ Underdogs is a small volunteer-based animal rescue and we unfortunately do not have the resources to respond to phone and email inquires about our adoptable animals at this time. If you're interested in learning more or setting up a meeting with one of our animals, please complete an adoption application first. It may take up to two weeks for application review and one of our coordinators will reach out to you as soon as we are through the intitial review process. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Thank you! ##1943487##

Story
Peanut is a sweet, friendly, energetic girl who weighs a little over 17 lbs. She has a super cute under-bit that she shows off sometimes. She loves cuddling on the couch, playing with her foster brothers, running around in the backyard, and watching the world go by out the front window. Peanut loves attention, giving kisses, and getting good pets and scratches behind her ears. She will lay her head on you when sleepy and enjoys being close to you. She has done great when left at home without humans and hasn’t cried, whined, or destroyed anything. Peanut doesn’t have a loud bark, but she does let me know when someone is walking by the front of the house or having to say hi to a dog in another backyard. Her favorite toy is a little squeaky ball and antler chews. On nice days, she loves to sit on my lap on the back porch, listening to the neighborhood sounds and watching the squirrels and birds. She is fully potty-trained and goes in and out of the doggy door. She is crate-trained and sleeps well through the night as long as she is close to the bed. Whether cuddling with you on the couch, going on a car ride, or sitting on your lap, Peanut is ready to bring endless joy and love to her forever family. ##2270390##

Story
We acquired this little guy randomly for a. Family who didn’t want to dump in the trash at Walmart. He is less than a year old and has a plan at Banfield. He is super sweet, super energetic and fun dog. He loves other dogs but is scared at first same with people. Tony has been in training and did super well in puppy class but we didn’t get a chance to move on to the next. He is a funny little dude and is need of a playful, good home. He did just get diagnosed with fear and anxiety at the vet so they recommended trazodone before visits. He really needs a person or family that will help and play with him like walks, hiking, etc! He has been camping and did wonderfully.

Story
Georgia is a beautiful and sweet as can be Pug / Chihuahua mix (according to New Mexico veterinarians. She likely has multiple breeds in her. All we know is that this little girl is irresistible!) We also know that Georgia deserves far better then being turned into an overcrowded shelter where euthanasia is often inevitable. Georgia is 1 year old and 24 lbs. (She is a dainty, small girl, with long legs. Her exact weight is 24.6 lbs). Georgia is a great family dog, as she absolutely loves kids! (She has not been tested with kids under 7, but does amazing with kids 7+ and would love a home with some kiddos). From Georgia's foster: "This dog LOVES the kids! She was super timid of my husband at first, but after the first week she now LOVES him!!! From the beginning she was great with me and absolutely love love loves the kids! She also does great with our dogs. What a sweet, small girl! She has settled in so well and is such a great, silly, sweet dog!! She is playful and cuddly and so sweet. She is also potty trained!!!" Georgia’s journey began in New Mexico when her previous owners decided she should “be an outside dog.” But Georgia had other ideas. She didn’t enjoy being left outside, especially in cold weather, and soon figured out how to jump the fence to seek warmth and safety. Time after time, Georgia would make her way to a neighbor’s house, only to be returned and left outside again. Eventually, her owners gave up on her and surrendered her to the shelter. This resilient and clever girl is now looking for a family who will cherish her and provide the warmth and love she craves. Due to her history of fence-jumping, Georgia would thrive in a home without a yard or one where she’s supervised while outside, ideally on a leash until she feels fully secure with her new family. A home without a doggy door or the practice of leaving dogs outside unattended is also a must for her. Georgia may be a bit shy initially as rehoming is challenging for any dog but with love and patience, she will absolutely shine. We envision sweet Georgia with a family who works from a home-based office. This arrangement would be perfect to love Georgia up periodically throughout the day. A friendly and gentle canine friend would be great as well. Georgia would enjoy the companionship and play / cuddle times with a furry best friend. Farfel's Rescue feels very strongly that every dog deserves the opportunity for formal, positive reinforcement / force-free training classes that are virtual or in-person. We therefore aren't willing to adopt Georgia out to a home that doesn't choose to offer her this important training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement / force-free virtual or in-person trainers in your area. Georgia has been fully vetted, is up to date on her vaccines, and being spayed this week to get ready for her forever home. Georgia is available for adoption now! Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If you're interested in this super-sweet, cuddly and fun-loving best friend, please fill out our application completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Georgia, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue

Story
Allow us to introduce you to Dovie, and her fabulous row of perfectly white teeth. Dovie is a 1 year old, 12 lbs, Pug mix. Dovie is basically a small human. She prefers to be the little spoon and likes to make sure she’s properly covered up in bed (your bed). She’s working on her house and crate training, however for the time being we recommend no shared walls. She has opinions about being left alone. She’s dog friendly and was in foster in Texas with kiddos and adored them. She’s presently in foster as an only dog and we suspect having a canine companion will help her be a little more brave out in the world – once it’s warmer, of course. Don’t miss your chance in these sparkling snaggles! Dovie is being fostered in Westminister, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/dovie/. Good with kids, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Pugsley is just about 2 years old and truly has a heart full of love. He’s an energetic little guy, full of life and curiosity, and still has that playful puppy spirit. We realize he needs more individual attention and guidance, which is tough for us as a busy family. It makes us sad to think that we’re not home enough to give him the attention he deserves. Pugsley thrives best in a minimalist environment, as he tends to get into things when left unsupervised. With five kids in the house, we're mindful that his playful nature has led to a few chewed-up items here and there. We genuinely want what’s best for him and hope to find a solution that allows him to flourish. Also if he is by the front door when it’s opened he will escape!!!!
