Hi, I’m Indie — short for Indigo! I might be 7 years old, but I’ve still got a heart full of adventure and a tail that wags at full speed when I’m happy (which is often!). I came all the way from Oklahoma to Charlotte and spent the early part of my life splashing around on Lake Murray—water is my happy place! In fact, if I ever get the chance to sneak out, I head straight for a swim and come home soaked and smiling.I’m fully housetrained, gentle with kids (even toddlers!), and super affectionate—I love giving kisses and lying at your feet to keep you company. I’m also very polite with my treats and meals, and I know all the basics like sit, stay, come, and shake. I’m great on a leash and enjoy walks, but I haven’t been getting as many as I’d like lately. My human has been dealing with some tough health issues, and while she loves me deeply, she knows I need more time, attention, and activity than she can give right now.I’m a big fan of snuggles and I’ll happily hang out on the couch or sleep in bed with you (if that’s allowed!). I’m also totally okay with respecting boundaries if that’s not your thing. When I want attention, I might bring you a shoe or a pillow—just my way of saying “let’s hang out!” And don’t worry, I’ll let you know if I need to go out with a little bark at the door.I do best with smaller dogs or chill big dogs, and I’m more of a watcher than a chaser when it comes to squirrels and birds. I’d love a home where someone is around more often—maybe retired, working from home, or just ready for a loyal companion. I’m ready to trade in my solo time for shared adventures, gentle walks, and all the love you’ve got to give.Let’s make the next chapter of my life the best one yet!
