Story
Beau Jax is a 4-year-old standard poodle weighing approximately 85 lbs, currently being fostered in Stouffville. He’s new to his foster home and is a very shy, gentle soul who is still finding his footing after losing the person he loved dearly. His owner sadly passed away, but it’s clear Beau Jax was truly cherished—his calm, sweet nature speaks volumes about the love he knew.
Beau Jax is a true gentleman. He’s fully house-trained, has excellent manners in the home, and prefers a relaxed lifestyle filled with cozy naps and quiet snuggles. While he hasn’t shown much interest in play just yet, he absolutely loves affection and will happily soak up pats and attention. He has no anxiety when left alone, making him an easy companion for someone who needs to step out during the day.
He’s low to medium energy, great with other dogs, and will politely let you know when someone is at the door. He hasn’t shown overexcitement when being outside so far, which may be due to the cold weather or simply because he feels more secure relaxing in his foster home while everything is still so new. Beau Jax has a great appetite and enjoys a steady, calm routine.
As a standard poodle, he will require regular grooming and will benefit from leash training, as he is a big, strong boy. He would do best with someone confident and physically able to handle his strength on walks. He requires a house with a fully fenced in backyard.
Overall, Beau Jax is a calm, sweet, and affectionate companion who is ready for a loving home where he can continue to feel safe, secure, and adored.
