Check out this handsome pom-chi (Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix) boy!  Roo has lived his life as a ‘Family Pet/Puppy Daddy’ being loved and used to produce litters of cuties, just like himself.  Well, cute as he is, his Daddy days are done and now he is ready to find a loving forever family who will just love him for the sweetheart he is.  Now understand, he is wary around new people until he figures out if he can trust you or not, but once he does, he is a sweetheart.  He needs someone who understands this and who will protect him from stressful situations where he could get into trouble.  He is so easy to love, he just needs a little time and patience. Approximate age/birthdate:  June 1 2014 Weight/size:  12 pounds Housebroken:  YES as long as you do your part and take him out often.  Crate trained:  YES Personality:  sweet, cautious of new people, defensive around larger dogs, devoted once he trusts you Energy level:  medium Fenced yard required?:  Absolutely preferred because he enjoys having a safe place to be outside and explore.  He can NEVER be off-leash in an unfenced area as he still depends on you to keep him safe.  Right now you can’t depend on him to come when called if he is distracted or scared. Does he/she jump fences?  NO Leash walk with manners:  Working on it.  He does better when wearing a harness rather than just a collar.  The harness is also a safer choice and protects his trachea from excessive pressure. Obedience training:  NO Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK      Spayed/neutered:   YES Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES Microchipped:   YES Social with other dogs:  He has always been around other dogs his size, but he can be defensive with larger dogs, and his attitude with them could get him in trouble.  He would love to be an only pet or have a friend closer to his size. Social with cats: NO CATS Good with children:  Toy breed dogs are NOT toys and respectful, calm children ages 10 and up are generally a better fit for them.  Too much noise and activity in his world will be a stressor for him and could result in unacceptable behavior. Adoption donation:  $175 We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible. When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Roo picks you too. If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed. Hi, I’m Taeri! I’m a 1-year-old male Pomsky (a mix of Pomeranian and Siberian Husky), weighing in at 11 kg (24 lbs). I may have the looks of a Husky, but I’m small in size and fully grown, making me the perfect bundle of fluff and charm. I was raised by humans in the past, so I absolutely adore people. Whether you’re a familiar face or someone I just met, I’ll happily trot up to say hello. I’m also great at making friends with other dogs—playdates are my favorite! I’m full of energy and love to play, so a home where I can run around in a yard or enjoy plenty of park time would make me very happy. While I’m a smart pup who’s already mastered “sit” and “paw,” I do have a bit of a stubborn streak on walks—I like to follow my nose wherever it takes me! But don’t worry, I’m in training and picking things up quickly. My eagerness to learn (and love for tasty treats) means I’ll soon be a pro. I have no trouble riding in cars or taking baths, and I prefer to avoid conflict when playing with other dogs. If a friend tries to pick a fight, I’ll simply walk away with my usual cool-headed charm. Sometimes, I get a little too excited when I see people or other pups far away and may bark, but it’s only because I want to join the fun. Oh, and I also have the Husky’s signature howling voice—it’s adorable, trust me! Since I’m still young, I’d do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. I thrive on companionship and may get a little anxious if left alone for too long. With my playful personality, loving nature, and one-of-a-kind charm, I’ll be the happiest little addition to your family. Are you ready to be my forever playmate and best friend?
