Story
Meet Dainty !! This sweet beautiful lady is used to being loved and spoiled. She’s ready to find a new family that can give her the best life. Dainty is a 2 year old, female, Pomeranian. She weighs 10 pounds and is full grown. She is already spayed and up to date on vaccines. She is also microchipped and Heartworm negative. She is on preventions. She is super shy at first but opens up into a loving, fun and playful girl. It takes her a few days of being very reserved before she opens up. She’s cuddly and loving but also has an active side. Dainty has done great with smaller dogs. She has been a bit more afraid of the larger ones. She has never been around cats so we are unsure how she would do. We do know that she is very uncomfortable around smaller children. She should go to a home with older kids that are calm in nature and respectful with her She is great about crate training and uses it as a safe space to retreat to. She is not very comfortable on the leash but has used one before. She is great on car rides. She is somewhat potty trained. For the first few days where she is super shy she does not do well with it. After that she does better but still has accidents. She will go outside and will also use puppy pads. She does need to be let out frequently to have any chance at successful potty training. Dainty loves to cuddle but also has a spunky side once she is comfortable. She will need someone willing to play with her but her exercise needs are not excessive. She has both the playful side and the cuddly lap dog side. She has not shown any aggression over treats, food or toys with people or dogs. If you’re looking for a sweet girl with lots of cuddles mixed with playtime then she may be the one. She would do best with a fenced yard and someone home often to help with her potty training. 📌📌She will need to be brushed regularly so she does not become matted. Vet and home checks required. No small children Located in Hampton VA. (She will need to be adopted within a 2 hour drive radius) ‼️Please message VillageDogResource@gmail.com or for faster response message our Facebook Page directly with questions or to get an application.‼️

PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - GRADY BREED - Pomsky SIZE - About 15 pounds AGE - 2 years GENDER - Male MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Grady came to us from a central NC animal shelter recently. He had been found as a stray with a horrible flea infestation. His coat was sparse from scratching and his skin irritated. Now that the fleas are gone, his hair is growing back in and he is a beautiful boy! Not only is he adorable, but he is super sweet and very playful once he becomes familiar with you. We have no idea what his previous home was like, but he seems to be happy to be held and loved, though can be a bit fearful of new people and places, only briefly. Once familiar with you, he loves being right beside his person. Fully grown at just a bit over 10 pounds, he is a perfect size for most homes! Grady is in good health, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with an active adopter for Grady - one who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with him. A home without larger pets and with a fenced, secure yard will give Grady a secure place to run and play. Grady does very well with other small, well behaved dogs. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of both Grady and meets our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family with Grady at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting him and determining that he matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. More information on our website at www.carerva.com.

Story
IMPORTANT: We are looking for a very specific adopter for Alfie as this poor little girl is very scared and it is likely she had little human contact before she came to HART. She is with one of our trainers and making progress in learning to trust. She is very playful and bonded to 2 of the trainers dogs and loves to run and play with them and be near them. However, it is still hard to pick her up and she is a flight risk. Alfie has so much potential and has made very good progress in a short period of time but still has a way to go. To be considered as a possible adopter for Alfie, you will need to have dog experience as an adult (bonus if you have worked with scared dogs before), already have a playful, outgoing dog that can show Alfie the ropes, have no kids in your home, and live in a quiet, calm home with a highly secure fenced yard. Please only apply if you have the experience, commitment, and living situation that Alfie needs to thrive in your home. We want what is best for Alfie and for you. Thank you for understanding. Thank you for your interest in Alfie! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=17158 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Alfie, or to submit an online application. HART adopts to the local DC/VA/MD metro area only. Visit our website for more information about our adoption process.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi … my name is Roo! Read my bio to find out everything you need to know about me.  If you think I might be the perfect pup for you, go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete the adoption application online. Check out this handsome pom-chi (Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix) boy!  Roo has lived his life as a ‘Family Pet/Puppy Daddy’ being loved and used to produce litters of cuties, just like himself.  Well, cute as he is, his Daddy days are done and now he is ready to find a loving forever family who will just love him for the sweetheart he is.  Now understand, he is wary around new people until he figures out if he can trust you or not, but once he does, he is a sweetheart.  He needs someone who understands this and who will protect him from stressful situations where he could get into trouble.  He is so easy to love, he just needs a little time and patience. Approximate age/birthdate:  June 1 2014 Weight/size:  12 pounds Housebroken:  YES as long as you do your part and take him out often.  Crate trained:  YES Personality:  sweet, cautious of new people, defensive around larger dogs, devoted once he trusts you Energy level:  medium Fenced yard required?:  Absolutely preferred because he enjoys having a safe place to be outside and explore.  He can NEVER be off-leash in an unfenced area as he still depends on you to keep him safe.  Right now you can’t depend on him to come when called if he is distracted or scared. Does he/she jump fences?  NO Leash walk with manners:  Working on it.  He does better when wearing a harness rather than just a collar.  The harness is also a safer choice and protects his trachea from excessive pressure. Obedience training:  NO Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK      Spayed/neutered:   YES Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES Microchipped:   YES Social with other dogs:  He has always been around other dogs his size, but he can be defensive with larger dogs, and his attitude with them could get him in trouble.  He would love to be an only pet or have a friend closer to his size. Social with cats: NO CATS Good with children:  Toy breed dogs are NOT toys and respectful, calm children ages 10 and up are generally a better fit for them.  Too much noise and activity in his world will be a stressor for him and could result in unacceptable behavior. Adoption donation:  $175 We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible. When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Roo picks you too. If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed. Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 1:59 pm
