Story
PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - GRADY BREED - Pomsky SIZE - About 15 pounds AGE - 2 years GENDER - Male MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Grady came to us from a central NC animal shelter recently. He had been found as a stray with a horrible flea infestation. His coat was sparse from scratching and his skin irritated. Now that the fleas are gone, his hair is growing back in and he is a beautiful boy! Not only is he adorable, but he is super sweet and very playful once he becomes familiar with you. We have no idea what his previous home was like, but he seems to be happy to be held and loved, though can be a bit fearful of new people and places, only briefly. Once familiar with you, he loves being right beside his person. Fully grown at just a bit over 10 pounds, he is a perfect size for most homes! Grady is in good health, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with an active adopter for Grady - one who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with him. A home without larger pets and with a fenced, secure yard will give Grady a secure place to run and play. Grady does very well with other small, well behaved dogs. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of both Grady and meets our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family with Grady at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting him and determining that he matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. Story
Meet Dainty !! This sweet beautiful lady is used to being loved and spoiled. She’s ready to find a new family that can give her the best life. Dainty is a 2 year old, female, Pomeranian. She weighs 10 pounds and is full grown. She is already spayed and up to date on vaccines. She is also microchipped and Heartworm negative. She is on preventions. She is super shy at first but opens up into a loving, fun and playful girl. It takes her a few days of being very reserved before she opens up. She’s cuddly and loving but also has an active side. Dainty has done great with smaller dogs. She has been a bit more afraid of the larger ones. She has never been around cats so we are unsure how she would do. We do know that she is very uncomfortable around smaller children. She should go to a home with older kids that are calm in nature and respectful with her She is great about crate training and uses it as a safe space to retreat to. She is not very comfortable on the leash but has used one before. She is great on car rides. She is somewhat potty trained. For the first few days where she is super shy she does not do well with it. After that she does better but still has accidents. She will go outside and will also use puppy pads. She does need to be let out frequently to have any chance at successful potty training. Dainty loves to cuddle but also has a spunky side once she is comfortable. She will need someone willing to play with her but her exercise needs are not excessive. She has both the playful side and the cuddly lap dog side. She has not shown any aggression over treats, food or toys with people or dogs. If you’re looking for a sweet girl with lots of cuddles mixed with playtime then she may be the one. She would do best with a fenced yard and someone home often to help with her potty training. 📌📌She will need to be brushed regularly so she does not become matted. Vet and home checks required. No small children Located in Hampton VA. (She will need to be adopted within a 2 hour drive radius) ‼️Please message VillageDogResource@gmail.com or for faster response message our Facebook Page directly with questions or to get an application.‼️
