Story
PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - GRADY BREED - Pomsky SIZE - About 15 pounds AGE - 2 years GENDER - Male MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Grady came to us from a central NC animal shelter recently. He had been found as a stray with a horrible flea infestation. His coat was sparse from scratching and his skin irritated. Now that the fleas are gone, his hair is growing back in and he is a beautiful boy! Not only is he adorable, but he is super sweet and very playful once he becomes familiar with you. We have no idea what his previous home was like, but he seems to be happy to be held and loved, though can be a bit fearful of new people and places, only briefly. Once familiar with you, he loves being right beside his person. Fully grown at just a bit over 10 pounds, he is a perfect size for most homes! Grady is in good health, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with an active adopter for Grady - one who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with him. A home without larger pets and with a fenced, secure yard will give Grady a secure place to run and play. Grady does very well with other small, well behaved dogs. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of both Grady and meets our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family with Grady at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting him and determining that he matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
