Story
~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~ Health: We believe he has CDL (color dilute alopecia) which makes him partially hairless. ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament: Lothar is a really good happy boy. He is very shy at first but once he warms up, he is a total lover! However, he is not fond of strangers. He will normally attach himself to calm low voiced peopled. He can be rather dramatic when he's scared of someone. He's young but his time in the hoarding home has scarred him. Sadly, he would do best in a home with one or two people and not many visitors. He gets along with other dogs but does not like them in his face. He also does not play with the dogs. He prefers his human over his doggie pals.  -- Where did he come from: He came to us as part of a hoarding intake group.  Adoption: ***** $100.00 ***** Weight: 8.60 lbs. Approximate age: 11/14/2021 ADOPTION APPLICATION: http://www.recycledpoms.org/application -- Email info@recycledpomeranians.com to request a printable application. --   ------Please remember our group is made of only volunteers all of whom have full time jobs, foster fur-kids, and families of their own, so please be patient.-------- November 4, 2024, 11:59 am

She is currently taking Lasix, vetmedin, and Benazepril to treat her heart condition.   ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament: Daisy, a 14-year-old senior pup, is a resilient and loving companion who sleeps in a crate all night and requires frequent outdoor breaks. Despite being blind and deaf, Daisy has adapted well to her surroundings and is a seasoned traveler. She has a hearty appetite and enjoys spending time outdoors, where she can explore. Daisy is a laid-back pup who loves to nap and is great with both kids and adults. She adores being carried and rarely barks, making her an ideal furry friend for a caring family. --  Where did she come from: She was surrendered to the Mesquite Shelter when the family could no longer care for her. Sadly, her owner was deployed overseas and asked that she find a new home.   Adoption: ***** $200.00 ***** Weight: 9.2 lbs. Despite his size, he's every bit a Pom, and his fluffy fur is truly breathtaking. This brave fellow has had to go through the challenge of losing his family after 13 years, which understandably left him feeling down when he first arrived. At first, he wasn't too keen on affection or attention, but the good news is, he's come a long way since then. Shakespeare now loves offering his opinion on a variety of matters, from deciding when it's mealtime to when it's time to rise and shine. Speaking of meals, he's got a healthy appetite and has a special fondness for treats. However, it's important to note that Shakespeare can be a little food-aggressive. If you have other furry companions, you'll need to crate him or keep him in a separate room during meals and treat times. Shakespeare has also taken to walks quite well and enjoys the company of his foster pack. Although he usually sticks with the group, he enjoys relaxing by himself on the cool bathroom tiles. He's quite the smart dog and understands how to use the dog door. He likes to bask in the sun for a few minutes a couple of times a day. What sets Shakespeare apart is his independence. He's the perfect companion if you work in an office, as he doesn't require someone to be home all day. While he enjoys being near his human, he's content on his own and values having his personal space. Shakespeare is a very good boy who deserves a loving, permanent home where he can feel safe and cherished. Consider giving this unique and resilient Pomeranian the last and best home he truly deserves. Where did he come from: Surrendered to our rescue because of Life Changes  Adoption: ***** $200.00 ***** Weight: 17.8 lbs. Temperament: Willy is an absolute sweetheart who loves to follow his person around and curl up in a lap.  He gets along well with other dogs and is very friendly with new people.  His gentle nature and loving personality make him a great candidate for a family looking for a loyal companion. If you're seeking a loving and devoted furry friend, Willy is ready to steal your heart with his charm. Where did he come from:  He was found as a stray with a microchip. They never came for him. ~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~ Health: Selena is currently battling congestive heart failure, with excess fluid accumulating around her heart and an enlarged heart. Despite her condition, she is managing her symptoms with medication effectively. Surprisingly, Selena appears to be in good health and doesn't show any signs of illness. ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament:  Meet Selena, the sweet and easy-going pup who is as lovable as they come! Selena is the definition of "pretty vanilla" - she's simple, easy, and an absolute joy to have around. She walks well on a leash, enjoys car rides, and is pretty quiet with an even temperament. This low-key girl has no bad habits and is a great companion for anyone looking for a calm and loving furry friend. She loves her food and is housebroken, although she may need to go out often due to her medications. Selena gets along well with other dogs and her favorite pastime is simply laying wherever she pleases, sometimes right behind you! Just watch out for her, as she can be a bit of a tripping hazard, albeit a cute one! While Selena's temperament makes her a great candidate for an elderly owner, her habit of being underfoot might pose a slight challenge. But with her loving nature and easy demeanor, Selena is sure to bring joy and companionship to any home lucky enough to have her.   --  Where did she come from:  She was an unclaimed stray at the Fort Worth Animal Shelter Adoption: ***** $300.00 ***** Weight: 8.7 lbs.
