He is very shy at first but once he warms up, he is a total lover! However, he is not fond of strangers. He will normally attach himself to calm low voiced peopled. He can be rather dramatic when he's scared of someone. He's young but his time in the hoarding home has scarred him. Sadly, he would do best in a home with one or two people and not many visitors. He gets along with other dogs but does not like them in his face. He also does not play with the dogs. She is severely overweight and is currently on a diet along with her thyroid meds that should help get her weight under control. ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament:  Meet Serafina, a 10-year-old cutie who is working hard on her weight loss journey. Some of her extra pounds may be due to her low thyroid, but she's on a special diet now! Serafina came to us from a puppymill and has had a rough start in life, resulting in some missing hair. But don't worry, once her hair grows back, she's going to be absolutely stunning! Despite her past, Serafina is a sweet and friendly girl who just craves love and care. Harlen is great with other dogs and is not at all dominant.  Other dogs also seem to put him at ease.  He is still shy around people, but each day he gets a little more comfortable as he builds trust and feels safe. Because of his current level of shyness, a home without small children is recommended.  He loves to go outside but is still working on associating outdoor time with bathroom time, so accidents sometimes happen.   His favorite activity at the moment is finding a quiet corner to take a nap and there might one day even be a great snuggle buddy in there as well.  He is not a picky eater, but he is a slow eater so separating him from other dogs at feeding time is recommended.  Harlen is not aggressive and there really is a sweetheart waiting to get out. -- Where did he come from: He came to us from a puppymill.  Adoption: ***** $400.00 ***** Weight: 7.10 lbs. Would make a great lap dog. When Saucy first arrived, she was overwhelmed by fear and pain, snapping at the vet techs who tried to help her. It was clear that she had endured significant suffering.    During her spay surgery, we discovered a tumor encasing her uterus, along with a deceased fetus, indicating she had been in distress for an unknown period. Thankfully, Saucy has made tremendous progress since that surgery. She has had a follow-up exam and she’s ready to go.   Saucy is no longer the frightened, defensive dog we first met; she has blossomed into a sweet and loving companion. While she remains a bit skittish, her progress is nothing short of fantastic.  She is still learning to be a normal dog and will do best with a patient family that can give her the attention and love she deserves.  She gets along great with dogs of all sizes, she’s afraid of the storms and her go to protector is the 65 lb foster sis.  She’s fine with cats and loves chirpy cat toys.   Where did she come from:  Breeder release  Adoption: ***** $500.00 ***** Weight: 13 lbs.
