Story
Peanut is our four year old family dog. He is very energetic, playful and loving. Unfortunately, Peanut was attacked by a larger dog causing him to suffer a collapsed lung, and a couple of broken ribs. Although Peanut thankfully made a full physical recovery since thr attack, he has noticeably grown nervous around large dogs and young children. We are a young and expanding family with young kids and need to prioritze the needs of our children above Peanut. We also believe that Peanut would feel more comfortable in a new home with older or no children. This is a very difficult decision for us. We are not seeking an adoption fee, just a loving family who will take good care of Peanut. Preference given to families that would be open to having initial infrequent and limited contact to let us know how Peanut is doing.

Story
Odessa is a 10 year old spayed female pomeranian who weighs 9 pounds. She was rescued along with her mom when their owners wanted better homes for them. They have always been outside dogs and will need families dedicated to working on potty training, but they are already using a doggie door without an issue. Odessa has always been a shy dog from not being socialized, but she has never shown any aggression, she just cowards as you pick her up. She has tested great with other dogs and would do best in a home with a fenced in yard and another dog to show her the ropes. Story
TATER TOT Male Pomeranian 6-8 years old Good with smaller dogs (he is dog selective) Not recommended with cats Not recommended with kids Appropriate for city living: No Meet Tater Tot Tater Tot is a middle-aged Pomeranian who walks a little wonky but has lots of love to give. Tater Tot was allegedly hit by a car and unable to walk. After a few days at Metropolitan Veterinary Associates, with good care, pain meds and lots of love, he started to recover. Bit by bit, day by day, he got better. He had no injuries consistent with being hit by a car and an MRI did not indicate any breaks but did confirm some changes in a few of his discs. None of this slows him down a bit! He loves to run even if it looks a bit wobbly! Tater takes a while to warm up to new people but once he loves you, he loves you with his whole heart. Tater Tot is going to need an extra special, patient family. He will be added to the website soon, but you can still submit an application at www.findingshelter.org. About CHARACTERISTICS Friendly, Affectionate, Loyal, Playful, Protective, Brave, Curious, Independent, Funny COAT LENGTH Long HOUSE-TRAINED No HEALTH Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered, special needs. GOOD IN A HOME WITH Other dogs. (He is selective) PREFERS A HOME WITHOUT Children. The first step is to submit an application at www.findingshelter.org. Adopters must live within 30 miles of King of Prussia, PA.

Story
Bree is being fostered in NJ. Her name is Bree but you could also call her Little Miss Perfect! Bree, Bree The cutest dog who cannot see Soft and furry is her coat When on your lap, you will surely dote She dreams of her own forever family For your love and loyalty she does plea Yes, Bree loves poetry! She also loves snuggles, treats, sniffing around the yard, and squeaky toys. Bree was an only dog for most of her life. Then she arrived at our crazy home and had to adjust to sharing everything with the other dogs. She is now a well-mannered, affectionate, friendly little gal. Bree adjusted to her foster home with no problem and immediately found her way around. She makes a cute low grumbling sound when she needs to go outside or wants the water bowl filled up. Just don't bother her when she is eating - she is very serious about meal time! Bree has the playfulness of a puppy - if you bring Bree into your family, have plenty of squeaky toys on hand. She loves to destroy them to get the squeaker out! Bree is also happy to sit on your lap or next to you as you relax. She enjoys "watching" TV and is a big Phillies fan. Her favorite player is Brandon Marsh - Bree likes his long beard. She is also an excellent car rider. Bree knows to "sit" when receiving a treat. And she does expect a treat when she comes back inside from going potty. Bree mostly sleeps in her own dog bed at night, but will sometimes want to sleep in the bed next to someone. As with any blind dog, Bree can be startled by a sudden noise or touch. She would do best with older children (over age 6). She needs to be introduced slowly to other dogs. Bree prefers a private dining experience. Even though Bree is a senior dog, she has plenty of playful years ahead of her and will be a joy to any family who adopts her. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
