Story
Bear is a 6-year-old Pomeranian rescued from a rural shelter and he currently lives in a foster home with other little dogs. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations but he is heartworm positive and is currently going thru slow treatment due to his size. Treatment is a once-a month heartgard med and we are able to provide the med until he is cleared. No hard play for him but little walks and roaming in the back yard are great. Bear is very laid-back and independent. He does not need to be groomed as he has fairly short hair but he is combed daily. He is good with other dogs. He has improved tremendously but he still has accidents in the house and sometimes wears a diaper. An all-adult quiet and patient family would be perfect for this charming little guy. We are located in Palm City, FL and we'll accept only local applications (Martin, St Lucie, North Palm Beach) as he must finish his Heartworm treatment with his vet in Stuart (all paid by the rescue)

Greetings and Happy New Year to all! I am a sweet and reserved little Pom, almost 2 years old. I am shy at first, so please move slowly, give me time and be patient. You see, I spent my entire life in a Missouri puppy mill until Big Ranch came to my rescue. Once I am sure I can trust you, I will reward your patience and happily open up and become your best friend. I really enjoy the company of other dogs my size too and would be happy in a home where I have some fur friends. My foster family has a couple of senior dogs and a scrappy little terrier, and I enjoy my leisurely walks with all of them. I really love my mealtime and treats, and I admit I have gained a few unnecessary pounds in recent months, so those walks will help me shed them. As 2024 comes to an end, I would love to start 2025 in my own FOREVER home. Please ask about me. You won't be sorry. Look into my big soulful eyes. Who wouldn't want a precious little Pommy in their life? Pick ME and let's go home.
