Story
This little Pom/Eskie has had a very tough life. She was picked up by Wakulla Animal Services as a stray back in 2023 and was not claimed, but later adopted by an elderly woman. She was flea infested, heartworm positive, and had an ACL tear on her back leg. The adopter treated her for all of these issues. Her owner recently died so she was sent back to the shelter who then asked if our rescue could take. Dixie Jo is a 7 year old, fully vetted girl. Currently weighing about 20 pounds, she's very overweight. She's currently sharing space with 15 other dogs and she has a bossy nature. Because of this, she'd be best as the only dog in the home. With people, she is very affectionate, cuddly, and loves being brushed. This poor dog is so deserving of a calm, loving, secure home. Her adoption fee is $200. Zuri is a 6-year-old Pomsky who is not only sweet and smart, but also loves her walks and car rides. House-trained and full of energy, Zuri is looking for a new forever home, one that ideally has a fenced yard or an owner committed to walking her several miles a day. Zuri gets along with most dogs, especially those close to her size. Zuri also enjoys play dates at doggy daycare, making her a social and active companion for the right home. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. Meet Floof - the happiest girl around! This sweet lady will fill your life with endless love and joy. Floof is always up for an adventure, whether it’s a walk, a visit to the dog park, or a car ride. She adores people, kids, and dances for treats (even though she has just a couple of teeth left in the back!). Despite her enthusiasm for snacks, she’s a quiet girl, rarely barking, and enjoys a good nap most of the day. She's 10 years of age and knows how to make herself comfortable, climbing steps to the bed and being both pee-pad and house trained. She’s also incredibly smart and has the kind of charm that makes her impossible not to love from day one. This sweet girl has a little patch of hair loss near her tail, but with medicated shampoo, it’s already on the mend! Floof is ready to bring her warmth and sweetness into her forever home.
