Story
Black Oxide is an extremely unique little kitten with a tiny white tip on the very end of her tail and she is polydactyl on BOTH the front and back feet! (She is the first kitten that we have had in our care that had extra toes on the back feet as well as the front feet so she is kind of rare!) Black Oxide was found running around at a factory in Tioga County, PA! After some intervention by some dedicated and caring employees, she and her litter mates were rescued and made their way to us to be adopted out! Black Oxide is friendly, although she is a little shy at first and sometimes puts her ears down to show her skepticism! She quickly opens up once she is given an appropriate amount of time to adjust! Once she is used to you, she is happy to be cuddled and will purr and approach you! Some canned food will also get her interested in you in a hurry! Black Oxide is playful and would do best in a home with another cat or kitten companion so that she has a playmate to keep her company! Black Oxide is great with other cats and kittens. She will also be introduced to a large, cat-friendly dog while in our care. Perhaps you would like to adopt 2 kittens?! (Ask about our 2 for the price of 1 deal!) We are hoping to find Black Oxide a calm home setting and a patient adopter as that is where we believe she would do best. We are not recommending young children as we feel a calm home would be best for this kitten. Black Oxide will have been spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, flea treated, FIV/FeLV/HW tested negative, and microchipped at her time of adoption! Black Oxide is expected to be ready to go to her forever home after Nov. 15th and she looks forward to putting her factory days behind her for good! Interested adopters can submit an application by contacting HobosHome2020@yahoo.com or by sending us a message and we will send you the necessary form! ***UPDATE: I am part of a bonded pair and would like to be adopted with my best friend Peso!***

Story
Eclipse was rescued from an abandoned house on April 8th, 2024... just hours after the eclipse had occurred. Her beautiful tortoiseshell markings, especially those on her face and neck, seemed to go with the theme of the day so well that we figured that we might as well just name her after it! Eclipse is a middle-aged adult cat of probably around 5 years old. She likes to eat and has a few extra pounds on her but we prefer to say that she is big-boned! (She IS a large cat and does have a big build after all!) She is one of the friendliest cats that we've had in our care and she does GREAT when meeting complete strangers too, which isn't necessarily typical of most cats! For all that she has recently been through, she has adjusted very quickly and well! Oh, and did we mention that Eclipse is polydactyl (has extra toes) on both the front AND back feet? (This is rare!) Eclipse has lovely smatterings of orange splashed here and there on her coat which look like patches of sun shining through the darkness! (A reminder that tough times won't last forever...) Eclipse is a lady who is very sweet and friendly! She is good with other cats and kittens and she has been dog tested with a cat-friendly German Shepherd dog. She did fine with the dog although of course she will need some time to adjust to any new dogs in the future and would probably prefer calmer dogs over hyper ones. Eclipse would also be fine as an only pet because she is very people-centered and she really just prefers to get all of the love and attention that she can from people! She doesn't mind being picked up, carried around, petted, and cuddled! Eclipse has been spayed, is up to date on vaccines, dewormed, flea treated, FIV/FeLV/HW tested negative, and microchipped! She seems to be a healthy, hearty girl! She will be ready for adoption on April 19th! Interested adopters can submit an application by contacting HobosHome2020@yahoo.com or by sending us a message and we will send you the necessary form!
