Story

Beansprout (aka Beans) the adorable polydactyl is a great companion for someone who leads a busy daytime life, as he loves to sleep the day away and greet you when you get home. It takes Beansprout a little while to trust you, but once he does it’s very rewarding as he’ll come snuggle you on the couch or sit by you wherever you are in your home. He is a curious cat who loves to sniff and explore any new items that come into the house. Beansprout is a very affectionate cat, but on his own terms. He’ll make it known when he wants to be pet and loves to purr next to you and rub against your legs (especially when it’s time for a treat)! He loves to play with his mouse toy and chase any cat string toy. He doesn’t like to be held, but will roll around on his back when he's happy. Very content inside without other cats, he's happy to look out the window and explore various soft areas for sleeping, like in front of the radiator on a cold day. As a polydactyl, Beansprout's nails on the extra toes must be trimmed regularly so they don't grow into his paw pads. He was outside and starving for a long time, his nails growing into his pads, which made it painful to walk or move. Poor guy must have truly had a miserable existence. But now he's a happy indoor cat who's just waiting for his furrever home! Bean Sprout is up to date on vaccines, fiv+/felv- (you can read about fiv here) neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and ready for a wonderful home. Meet our polydactyl brother and sister duo “Thumbelina and Tobias”! These kittens have the purrfect personalities of fun, playful , gentle , easy to pick up and cuddly , and purr away when you pet them. They are in a loving foster home in Connecticut with their two siblings Wednesday and Mittens as well as resident cats and get along well with all! They were born in May 2024 outside , we rescued them and they were nursed by their wonderful polydactyl mama “Pawlina” (also up for adoption) safely indoors. They are healthy ,spayed/neutered , have their initial rabies /fvrcp vaccines , and treated for potential parasites /and or fleas . They are negative for FIV/FELV. Pawly the polydactyl and his adorable little sidekick sister Dolly are a truly fun and adorable duo! Pawly is the ultimate Velcro cat who wants to snuggle on you at all times . If you as much as look at him he comes over for love - it’s too cute ! Dolly is a petite , lovely girl who also hangs with you on the couch or nearby - but she won’t fight for your lap which is a plus.. Pawly and Dolly love to snuggle and play together - bird watching and chasing toys. They are a perfect little duo! They’re in a foster home with two people but no children so we suggest a similar home that they can easily adjust into . They’re healthy , perfect litter box users , spayed /neutered , negative for FIV and FELV, up to date on their FVRCP and Rabies vaccines , treated for potential fleas/parasites , and microchipped. Their story: Hailing from the Bronx , a kind woman cared for them next to a post office in an old car lot- their life was one of sleeping in the hood of cars to stay safe , in a very loud and busy neighborhood. We knew these cuties deserved more. Strawberry is a gorgeous baby with big "derpy eyes and even bigger paws: in fact, she's a polydactyl-a Hemingway cat-with extra toe beans! She absolutely LOVES receiving all the attention she can find, and she'll gladly accept tons of treats, too. As soon you see her, she is rubbing herself up against the cage, begging for some love. Strawberry recently came from the euthanasia list at the ACC. We just don't understand who wouldn't want this sweet girl-she is literally perfect: friendly with adults, kids, and cats. She would do great as a second cat in your home, or if you're looking for two cats, she'd love to be adopted with Trevor.
