Story
Popeye is surprisingly energetic and loves to bounce around and play with toys. However, he knows how to relax and loves to cuddle up next to you while you binge Netflix. He is very curious about what his human is doing and will follow you around to make sure he's not missing out on any fun. He fully expects you to share your food with him but will reluctantly accept it when you tell him "No although he might try some very polite Sitting or some snuggles to help you change your mind. He may try to bounce up and give you kisses as you get ready for walks because he's so excited. He loves treats, which makes training easy. He learned Sit quickly, and is on his way to learning "Down, "Off and "Come. He tries to steal tomatoes since they look like balls so keep your kitchen secure. He snores like a sailor but if you're a deep sleeper you'll be fine. Popeye is a very sweet happy guy who still has plenty of puppy in him.

Story
Lenny is the sweetest, most mellow pup you'll ever meet. At two years young, he’s got all the gentleness and sweetness around. Lenny is ready to find his forever home with someone who'll appreciate his gentle nature. Fall in Love here: https://youtu.be/iYwf0pSlAhs Now, here's the scoop on Lenny. He’s a bit shy at first, but give him some time and a little sweet talk, and he’ll warm up to you like nobody's business. Yep, this pup is all about those gentle, patient souls who know how to give him the love and attention he deserves. When it comes to other furry friends, Lenny is as friendly as they come! He’s totally dog-friendly, whether big or small. While he might not be the life of the party when it comes to playtime, he’s always down for a sniff and a wag of the tail with his fellow dog friends. And let's not forget about leash time—Lenny is pretty good! With his good leash skills, taking a stroll around the neighborhood is a breeze. Plus, he’s always up for some quality bonding time with his human, making every walk enjoyable. Lenny loves to meet new people and lean into their legs for cuddles making him the favorite at the city park. Lenny is being fostered with 3 other dogs: a dominate female Shepherd, a cattle dog and tiny 7 pound chihuahua! Yep he meshes with them all so easily. He crates well and doesn't make a peep too. His foster said he is an amazing dog that is easy to bring into your home and easy to fall in love with. Lenny is also good with kids. His cautious gentle nature is nice to have around a kid because there is no jumping or knocking over. Lenny is an observer and knows then the kiddos need their space and to hang back. We think Lenny would make a great family pet as long as the family has good boundaries and the home isn’t too busy for this gentle boy. So, if you're looking for a gentle boy who'll steal your heart with his mellow demeanor and sweet soul, Lenny is your boy. We are ready to answer any questions for you about Lenny! 🐶❤️ Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6639749f1afee2baf8022577 Please email jessicak@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 25% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Kira is a sweet puppy that loves to play. She can be a little shy at first when meeting new people but she warms up quickly. She loves to play with our other dogs here around her age but should be trained not to chase a cat. She is very treat motivated which will come in handy helping her learn other commands besides “sit”. Fizz is a little scared of the leash and will need some help learning how to walk on one. Weighs 36 pounds, $50 to adopt
