Bogie is a sweet but sensitive young boy who likes to take his time warming up to new people and places before showing off his big personality. He is an active and sweet young man who would love a family that could take him on hikes, play fetch, and snuggle up close with him at the end of the day. Bogie can come on very strong with his canine friends and would need a slow introduction with management in order to co-exist with a pup in his forever home. If there are kids in his forever home, he would do best with kiddos that are 10-13 and older. Story
This healthy 5 year old boy was set to be euthanized today. After talking to his owners yesterday, they agreed to surrender him to us. We had to pick him up last night in order for him to live. We were made aware that he might have some behavioral issues. We reached out to our fantastic trainer, and he had room for Billy to at least get an assessment. We drove 2 hours to get him there, and our trainer’s initial observation is that he is not aggressive, scared and skittish yes, but not aggressive. He is going to stay with our trainer for a month long board & training to work on some confidence building. We will be updating all that we learn about him while he is in training. So far, we do know he is great with other dogs.outside of the home, but prefers to be your one and only dog. He will do well with older, respectful children.
