Mama aka Miley is sooooo sweet. She is a cuddler. Loves belly rubs. Would love a home without cats, shes a english pointer mix so she has prey drive. She is not a fan of my small foster so my big dogs are not a fan of her, so I would think no other dogs either unless experienced in intros. She does great crated and has been barking for potties. She free roams my bedroom and has not eaten or tore anything up. She is spayed/vaccinated and dewormed. Even when she returns her original finder will still be looking for a home for her. She took her on as a foster from a stray roam because she was pregnant and sweet.l but her dogs plus mama and the puppies are overwhelming. She is ome of the most affectionate dogs i have met. She gives small kisses. Loves hugs.

Available for adoption at: Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center 1854 East Pike, Zanesville, Ohio 43701 740-453-0273 Open Tues-F 11-5, Saturday 11-4, Sunday 10-3. Closed on Monday. Adoption fee is $130 which includes spay/neuter, combo, rabies, and bordetella vaccines, heartworm test and dog license. (Although some of the dogs come to the pound spayed or neutered, most do not. If you adopt a dog that has not yet been spayed/neutered, we will set up an appointment for the dog to be spayed/neutered before it can leave the facility.)

Say hello to Marco! Marco is a male Pointer/hound mix that weighs around 55 pounds and is approximately 1 year old. Marco was found in the Metroparks with adoptable dog Polo and both were brought to the shelter. No one claimed him. Marco was very dirty, thin, and not in the best of health. After a few weeks at the shelter with some good food and TLC, Marco is coming out of his shell. He is shy but full of love. He would benefit from having a patient adopter willing to help him build his confidence. We do believe Marco is dog friendly. As always, a meet and greet with any resident dog is required to make sure everyone gets along. Marco will need help with leash manners because he can pull a little on leash. He has a medium energy level. Once in a home and after his body begins to heal, we believe that Marco will turn into a different more confident dog. Continued socialization will be essential for Marco. Marco will do anything for food so training and socialization should be a breeze. Marco absolutely loves his time with the volunteers even if it is just sitting on a park bench. Compatibility with children and felines is unknown. He is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster him in your home until he finishes vetting which includes updated vaccines, neuter, microchip, and heartworm testing. She knows basic commands like sit, paw, leave it, and stay, and she's eager to learn even more! While she’s house trained, she’s still perfecting her recall and leash walking skills. With your patience and time, there's no limit to what this smart girl can achieve! She needs a securely fenced yard since she loves to run. Oreo enjoys spending time at the barn and is comfortable around horses and other barn animals. However, she would do best in a one-pet home. Additionally, she might not be the best fit for families with little kids due to her playful nature. Help us find Oreo the loving home she deserves! We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.
