BETTY BOOP is a playful, energetic pup looking for a home. She's a 9ish month old cutie pie, fully grown at 24 pounds. Our best guess on breed is Pointer/Beagle. Betty Boop is a playful, people-oriented dog. She loves her toys, loves to play fetch. She's always up for a romp in the yard with other dogs. She has a trim, leggy body and the sweetest little face. Betty Boop is an active lifestyle-type dog who needs daily exercise, whether it's running and playing in a physically-fenced yard, running or hiking with her person or trips to doggie daycare. Betty Boop is a whip smart girl who learns quickly and would probably excel at agility training. She is housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Betty Boop, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Betty Boop at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee. So Arika is an unusual name, right?? Well, yes it is!! It actually means "ruler of ALL" and I identify with that feeling :D OK, I am not the ruler of all, but I am the ruler of ALL my friends! We have kind of a democratic system set up...... I tell them what to do and they LISTEN and they do what they want! So, that is the level of my "ruler-ness". However, I have a lot more to offer than just rules and regulations.... I HAVE LOVE! You see, I know love and I know despair...my daughter Mika and I were found on the streets, eating trash and anything we could get our faces on.... until the day that a "street feeder/rescuer" found us. From that day forward we had HOPE... And here we are in the rescue and thriving! I rule all my friends and we are now just waiting for our furever homes. I am a big girl, kind of deceivingly... I don't look that big but weigh in over 70# I am great with other dogs- big and small, as long as they want to play and hang out, I am down with that... My bestest home would be with another playful dog and kids please :) So I am here waiting, and RULING, and waiting for you to find me! I will let you in on a little secret too... Roo is a sweet 4 year lemon Pointer hound He's a big solid boy at 96 lbs and we think he may have some yellow lab and hound, but don't know for sure without a DNA test. When you meet Roo he will tell you his name!Roo loves hugs, dancing, and belly rubs. Check out the video in his profile where he is in heaven. He is just a big guy with a bigger heart. Roo likes chasing birds but nothing bigger than a cow. He does not like horses! He also does not like big cameras cause they look scary!. He is excellent with other dogs and kids and displays good manners when company comes over - he ignores them! House Trained, leash trained, and crate trained!!! He attended an event at a Pets Store and was in heaven - greeted everyone appropriately and turned on the doggie charm for more treats.Roo is used to being in a home, but has adapted fairly well and is at a healthy weight.
