Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Sadie is a comical, quirky, and spunky girl. She came from a neglect case in rural Kentucky, where she and other dogs were found abandoned and starving in an outdoor pen. Sadie is fortunate to be alive! Sadie is spunky when she is outside. Inside the house, she loves to curl up in a blanket on your bed or be cozy in a dog bed. Sadie loves bully sticks and will work them down as a beloved pastime. Sadie is well-behaved in the house, housebroken, and quiet. When she sees something out the window, she may alert vocally though! She is approximately 7.5 years old and weighs about 40 lbs. When outside, Sadie loves to zip around and explore. She does need a 6-foot fence as she can climb over a 4-foot fence. Sadie loves to go to the dog park and her favorite activity is to bark at other dogs in hopes that they will run so she can chase them.  Sadie is also a squirrel enthusiast so she will tree them and bark, both  in the yard and at the dog park, so sometimes she does need to be re-directed. Sadie loves to chase and bark at other dogs. She does not harm them, though she likes to dominate them like this to get them to play her game.   Sadie zips around like a racehorse at times and is agile and free. She goes from zero to 40 in about 3 seconds. Sadie is a joy to watch at the dog park, just keep walking (taking the lead) and that refocuses her energy! Sadie does have a little random incontinence (likely due to her age) and is on a medicine called Proin. She takes half a tab twice a day and it seems to help her greatly.  Sadie is a bit of an alpha, but can easily live with other dogs, and does mingle with all kinds of dogs at a dog park. Sadie is good with other dogs, older kids, but no cats for Sadie. This senior gal is very lovey-dovey, and loves to be pet, pampered, and smooched. She has a soft, yet also spunky nature and exudes sweet southern charm. Sadie is definitely one of a kind! Interested in adopting? Please complete an interest form on our website  here  If you are viewing this listing on PETFINDER there is often MORE INFO ON and MORE PICS OF the animal DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE. http://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org *Adoption fee $495* redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue  All animals fully vetted appropriate for age: spayed/neutered, rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccine, 4DX test (@12 months or older), microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention.  *Since we typically don't know a rescue dog's actual genetics, their breed and estimated size when grown on their bio is just an educated guess based on information ond observations we have.*  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 25, 2025, 8:51 pm

Story
Sadie was born in Alabama and found in a ditch with 7 of her brothers and sisters, I rescued Sadie as a puppy and raised her. She is such a sweetheart. Good with kids, other dogs, never aggressive, always sweet and just wants attention and love. Due to medical considerations at home Sadie is not getting the care she needs or deserves and I'm determined to give her the best life possible. She is house trained, loves to snuggle, loves to be petted and walked. She is caring, at times silly and fun but most content with a walk, some love and an afternoon nap. She is sensitive to loud noises and cowers when she hears them (fireworks would be an example of this). Other than that she is a joy. She is VERY Healthy and well taken care of, she is an ideal dog for a loving family or someone who needs the company of a loyal, loving companion. It breaks my heart to let her go but I know its for the best for her to find a home where she can be loved and cared for in the way she deserves.

Story
Hi! I'm Brady! I'm from Kansas. From his foster: Brady is an oh-so-handsome, exuberant, affectionate pointer mix. True to his sporting breed, Brady requires physical and mental stimulation to thrive. As a young dog, he also needs a strong handler and steady leadership. Brady is attending basic obedience and is a curious and quick learner. He also attends doggie day care and does great! He is described by staff as highly social and playful. Brady can be crated but is stressed when left alone- this is already improving a lot! Brady will thrive in a forever home with: - Owners with breed experience and/or knowledge of sporting/working breeds, - Owners willing to continue working on obedience training, - Active lifestyle (hikes, walks, runs) - Other dog(s) to play with (*also could also be only dog in home) From the vet team: Brady was found to be lyme positive. It is currently not causing any issues for Brady and likely a pre-existing condition.

Story
Hi, my name is Snuff. I am from Alabama. From the foster: Snuff is an incredibly sweet dog. He's in need of some training on basic commands, but is extremely food motivated and eager to please, so with the right amount of patience and treats, he should be able to learn new skills. Snuff is a little anxious and needs some time adapting to new places and new experiences (he's very hesitant about going on walks, and it took a couple days to get him comfortable going outside to go potty), but he's very friendly with kids of all ages, other dogs, and most cats (he was fine with one of my cats but not with the other). He is potty trained and crate trained,. Other than building confidence and needing a little bit of training, Snuff has no major behavioral concerns, he just really needs a home that will be able to help him build confidence and shower him with love (because he has a lot of love to give in return!).
