Story
Our pretty little girl is called Cora and what a loving and sweet little Pointer mix girl she truly is.  She loves playing with other dogs and sleeping in the bed with her foster mom.  This little girl was one of 8 puppies left in an outdoor pen and basically abandoned by the former owner when they loved.  Neighbors stopped by for 3 months to feed and water the puppies and sadly that was all.  They grew and grew and eventually started fighting over the little food they had and the small pen was just so confining. One of the great Critter Cavalry Rescue foster moms heard of their plight and went to get them out of their hot, and confining pen that offered no exercise and not enough food daily…and NO HUMAN LOVE.  Now Cora and her siblings are seeking homes where they can spread their wings and bask in the love and care of their new families.  Cora is remarkably loving and fun and seems to not have been emotionally stunted by their early months of growing up abandoned.  We know that she loves other dogs!  She plays with a 45 pound black lab male that is a year old and “Her and Bo are like two peas in a pod”.  They absolutely love playing together, tug of war, chasing each other in the yard, or just sleeping in the dog bed together.  Cora is good with cats and loves the young children that are in the home, even with all their noise and high energy play.  She is almost there with her potty training and she is good with being in the crate at times needed.  Cora relates to people and loves them.  She always needs to be right by someone and loves to lay on your feet. She has learned not to be possessive of her good or toys as she first started out being.  We totally understood the possessiveness and now she is relaxed and eager to share.  This pretty girl and her siblings have come such a long way.  We are so happy for them to be in out foster care and receiving the love that they so readily deserve.  If you really want to adopt a “rescued dog” then Cora is the total definition of a rescued puppy! If you are interested in making her your own please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com!!! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 16, 2024, 10:05 pm

Story
Hearing Impaired so he won’t judge you for singing in the shower‍ Couch cuddles, belly rubs, and butt scratches are Milo’s love language. Despite his hearing, he is the typical dog that enjoys leisurely walks, peanut butter, and chasing squirrels. Milo sleeps in his crate every night, hasn’t had any accidents with his foster and is pretty chill. He’d love a home thats as chill as he is where he can hang with his people and just be loved.  Since he is hearing impaired, a home that doesn’t have a ton of action is best. Story
Meet Favio, the ultimate lover boy who’s ready to shower you with unconditional love! Once a scared and starving pup with no hope left, Favio has made an incredible recovery. Now, after completing his heartworm treatment, he’s thriving in his foster home and can’t wait to find his forever family! This sweet boy loves nothing more than hanging with his human. He’s a chill couch companion, content to hang out at home while his foster mom is at work. He may have a thing for snooping in the recycling bin (just block off the trash and he’s golden!), but other than that, he’s perfect ! Favio is great with other dogs and even cats, but he’s also happy being your one and only as long as he has love. He has medium energy, loves to learn, and his favorite spot? The back of the couch, watching the world go by. One look into his big, soulful eyes, and you’ll be head over heels. best word to describe him “kind” dog friendly good with dogs & cats (cats that like dogs :)) Neutered, up to date on vaccines, & microchipped_______________ Ready for adoption October 24th – apply today! please remember we are all volunteers, incomplete applications will not be processed If you are interested in adopting a GBP rescue PAL, please submit an application and we will reach out to you within 48 hours to start the approval process. https://galsbestpal.com/adoption/ It’s ok if you don’t know exactly what you are looking for, we are experts in matchmaking and can talk with you and figure out what PAL would be a good fit for your home! Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Kids 16 +Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesLilac is a sweet, lazy girl who is looking for a quiet home where she can play some fetch and then curl up in the dog bed and take a nap (her two favorite things). Lilac is wonderful with other dogs when properly introduced, and she loves to play. She would love a fenced yard to romp in. She can be leash reactive to new dogs, and though she has improved with training, this will always be something she needs to work on. For this reason, proper intros are a must with her.  She is also ecollar trained. so her perfect home would continue this training with her. She excels with structure and routine.Where Lilac still struggles greatly is with meeting new people in the home. Outside the home, and even a the vet, she is generally fine. When people that she does not know very very well come into the home, Lilac should be crated, leashed, or muzzled. She needs to be slowly introduced to new people, but once she gets to know you very very well, she's all in and is the kissiest, snuggliest girl.  She is even very sweet to pretty much everyone while muzzled, so that's an easy fix to keep her safe.  When people she does not know come into the home, she can get vocal,  but when introduced while muzzled she does fine.  Because of her reactivity to new people, a single family home is the best fit for her. She would not do well in an apartment. Lilac has had a long road, and while she has come a long way, she is very much still a work in progress. With the right family she will do just fine.Lilac's issues have happened in the past when her intros to new people coming into the home were not controlled.  So I can't emphasize enough that she needs to take it slow with new people :) But she will reward you for sure once you get to know her. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted.
