Story
Fiona needs a new foster or foster-to-adopt home. About three years old, Fiona came from a large hoarding situation. She is a shy, gentle girl who needs TLC and time to get comfortable in a home. Fiona loves other dogs and we would like to see her in a home with at least one other dog. The activity level of small children would scare her, so an adult home or one with older children would be ideal. She needs a home with a securely fenced yard, and a family who has experience and patience. To foster or foster-to-adopt Fiona please fill out our application - https://www.furryfriendsct.org/foster-application NOTE: Foster or foster-to-adopt families must be located within the state of Connecticut.

Lyla just loves playing with other dogs She's shy with new people and takes a little time to realize you're just a new friend she hasn't met yet - but a few treats and some time and she'll figure it out! She'd love a home with a securely fenced yard (she hasn't figured out leashes yet) and a dog friend or two - and would be happy to live with teenaged children. This sweet girl came from a large hoarding situation and she has come so far! These days she's a happy girl - and is ready and waiting to find her forever home. If that home could be yours, please fill out an application - https://www.furryfriendsct.org/adoption-application

Story
Olivia is an awesome dog. She is so sweet, everyone loves her. She is good with kids, other dogs and cats. , she is loving and sweet, loves to run with her foster siblings and play with soft toys. She is going to make an awesome companion for someone, she’d be great for someone who likes to run or hike but she’s also just as happy being a lounge dog. She is house trained and chill when inside. Olive Olympic is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested ****** for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. Story
Meet Hazelnut, an adorable nine-month-old, 45 lb. pointer mix with the cutest speckle coat and big pointy ears. She was found roaming in a field in Texas with a shih tzu (adopted) a few months ago. She’s currently in Texas awaiting an adopter or foster so she can travel up north to find her furever family! Hazelnut is a high energy girl ready to be the life of the party! She is active, loves to play, can't get enough of her toys, and absolutely loves other dogs. She'd be thrilled to have a doggy companion in her furever home. She's super sweet and never says no to a snuggle. Hazelnut is fine around the kids but may knock a young one down so older children are recommended due to her exuberance. Due to living on the streets, she has never had training before so she'll need someone to guide and teach her basic manners and obedience. A home with a fenced yard is a must. Hazelnut will make a wonderful addition to any home! Her adoption fee is $450 and she is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. If you are interested in Hazelnut, please complete the application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

Story
Welcome Plexie to CCPAL Rescue Foster program. Plexie is a 2.5 year old Pointer/Lab is our best guess. She has beautiful markings and a lower coat and isn’t a big shedder. She is being fostered by a good Samaritan. She has 10 beautiful and very robust puppies. She is a great momma dog and she is very sweet to all people. She is friendly with the teen children in the home where she is now staying. She is good with other dogs and nice to strangers. She was relatively quiet at the Rescue and she is good on a leash. She is good in a car ride and knows sit command. She is also potty trained, vaccinated, healthy and ready for her forever home. She is a nice sized dog at about 65 pounds. We will spay her as soon as she fully dries up and she will be ready for her forever home. She did a good job when we clipped her toenails and didn’t have any reaction. She will make a great companion pet for a family. We think she will be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is very tolerant to all the puppies and we honestly cannot see any negative thing about this amazing dog. She is currently in Texas and she can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See her cute video.
