Meet Dale! He was hit by a car over a year + ago. The vet said the outcome would’ve been better for him if he was treated asap once he was hit. Dale injured his spine when he was hit by a car in Costa Rica. He was living on the farm in Costa Rica with lots of other dogs. A few months before coming to the US he lived at home with a vet in order to get laser therapy more frequent, which were continuing here along with acupuncture. Long term we hope he improves with continued physical therapy but it’s not a guaranteed due to how long ago his injury to was. He gets around great in a wheelchair, that’s how he got the name Dale (Earnhardt). Out of the wheelchair he gets around pretty well. He wears a belly band in the house to prevent accidents and he will use the doggie door. Personality wise he LOVES attention from anyone who will give it to him. He’s a huge snuggler and will follow everyone around the house, just to stay close to them. He does great with kids and is being fostered with 12 other dogs. He deserves a chance at a real place to call home after having such a rough start. He is 1 of 8 dogs saved from Costa Rica and we hope we can give him a second chance at a great life. He will need a home that can continue with acupuncture and laser therapy. Please fill out an application on our website so a meet/greet and home check can be arranged. Available for adoption! Mako is an absolute love bug. He is such a gentle, sweet, kind, easy going, obedient and is a very well mannered puppy. He aims to please, eager to learn and is obedient. Mako knows a few basic commands such as come, sit, off and leave it. He is crate trained, mostly potty trained with us, great with kids and all dogs. Unsure about cats however with a proper introduction she should do well. Mako has had 2 vet visits, is spayed, fully vaccinated x 4 DHPP, Rabies, Bordetella vaccine, a 4 DX test (Testing for 2 types of Tick, Lyme and Heartworm Nexgard Spectra (Flea, Tick & Heartworm preventative), 2 dewormings, 2 fecal tests. Adopters receive all original paperwork, a 14 day health guarantee, collar, Harness, leash, seatbelt lock and a weeks worth of food. We operate on a first come first serve basis. MEET ZANE!! ZANE is soooo friendly and does love affection, but is not overbearing with his attention seeking. Zane would do best in a home with other active medium to large dogs. He is good with dogs of all sizes! Zane is very active and playful with other large dogs in house; and while play can get rough he has not exhibited any aggressive behavior. Zane has not yet been introduced to cats, so he would need proper intros. Zane loves water and the pool! However, he is not a graceful swimmer in deep water. Zane is great on walks and has not shown any issues around food. Zane has a very gentle mouth for treats!! He loves chew toys, balls, playing fetch. Zane has been amazing on restaurant patios and tons of social settings! He's got very nice manners for such a big boy! Zane will need continued training but shows amazing potential to continue learning new things. Zane does have some separation anxiety and would prefer his people are home more often than not. Zane is teachable and responds well to corrections, and is doing great with a training collar! He may have minor skin allergies but they respond well to an allergy medications. MEET CANNON !!! This sweet, docile and smart boy is just amazing!! While he's calm and laid back most of the time, when he gets the opportunity to play, he is excitable and full of energy. He'd LOVE another dog to play with! We recommend an adopter with another dog the same size as Cannon. He will do best without small animals in the home. Cannon also enjoys walks and would be a great hiking partner. He is still working on his leash manners and does like to pull a bit so someone that knows how to continue leash training will be helpful. He is a bit car shy but once in, he settles down quickly and is very well behaved. He's already housebroken and knows how to use a doggy door. He will require a home with a solid block wall...(while he's never tried to jump over one, he can jump high, so a chain link or shorter wall will not work.) This friendly boy likes everyone he meets--he just loves attention. Older children please, he does jump a bit and we wouldn't want any accidental knock-downs. Some of his favorite toys include rope toys for tug of war, chew toys, tennis balls and bones.
