Story
Meet Peter — your future tiny, thoughtful sidekick with the sweetest little soul
At just around 2 ½ years old and a perfect 18 pounds, Peter is the definition of “small but mighty”… heavy on the charm, light enough to fit perfectly into your life (and probably your favorite cozy spot on the couch). He’s got that adorable, compact size that makes him easy to take anywhere, but it’s his gentle, quiet personality that really makes him special.

Peter is a soft-hearted guy who takes a moment to take in the world around him. New people can make him a little unsure at first—but give him just a little patience, a few treats, and some gentle pets, and you’ll see him start to melt. Once he feels comfortable, he’s happy to hang out right by your side, soaking up affection in his calm, easygoing way. He’s not overly demanding—he’s the kind of dog who’s perfectly content just being with you.
When it comes to other dogs, Peter is cool, calm, and collected. He’s the type to attend the party but hang out by the snack table. While other dogs might be running, wrestling, and putting on a whole performance, Peter is off doing his own thing—observing, sniffing, and minding his business. He’s very respectful socially and prefers other dogs who are the same way. If a dog gets a little too pushy or forgets their manners, Peter will give a polite, appropriate correction like the well-mannered gentleman he is, and then go right back to his peaceful routine.
He has been around a cat and did just fine, showing his usual calm and unbothered nature. As with any new home, a little continued guidance and proper introductions will help set everyone up for success.
Peter walks nicely on leash and enjoys getting out to explore the world at his own pace. Because of his easygoing nature and smaller size, he could do wonderfully in an apartment setting—but he also wouldn’t complain about having a yard where he can wander, sniff, and enjoy the fresh air. He’s adaptable like that—happy wherever his people are.
At home, Peter is all about peaceful living. He’s not looking for chaos or constant entertainment—he’s your low-key companion, your quiet shadow, your little “let’s just relax together” kind of dog. He would thrive with a person or family who understands that the best relationships take a little time. In return, you’ll get a loyal, loving companion who chooses you in the most genuine way.
Peter could do well with other dogs who respect his space, or he’d be just as happy as your one-and-only. He may also do best with slightly older, more understanding kids who can match his calm energy and give him the gentle approach he appreciates.
At the end of the day, Peter is a sweet, sensitive boy who doesn’t need the spotlight—he just needs someone to see him. Give him a little time, a little love, and a soft place to land, and you’ll watch him blossom into the most devoted little partner you could ask for.
If you’re looking for a calm, kind-hearted companion who will quietly steal your heart… Peter is your guy.
