Story
Edward is roughly 6 years old. He came to us, May of 2023 (481 days ago). Now, Edward can be a little bit of a Butt to say the least. When he was first here, he would bite in a heartbeat. He didn’t want to be touched and he surely didn’t want to be picked up. Well, a year later, he will go outside but he isn’t sure he likes it. He can be picked up but you can’t startle him. Edward loves chic-fil-a waffle fries and he is very gentle to take his treats. He loves to curl up in his bed and sleep and he will sit up like a little squirrel to beg. I think Edward would do best with a single person that would give him time to learn the routine and show him the love he deserves. He really is a tough one and this is why we have been hesitant to try to find him a home. Here with us, we know his little quarks and work around them. We just want to see him succeed. Story
Meet Felice! Felice is a chihuahua mix and we are guessing she is around 5 years old. She weighs 10-12lbs and will be vetted very soon. Her vetting will need to be completed before she can go to her new home, but she is available for pre-adoption now. Felice recently had 2 puppies in our rescue and has been a great mama. In a few weeks she will be spayed, vaccinated and ready to find her own new family. Felice loves sitting on her person's lap. She also enjoys the company of other dogs and sleeps quietly all night with her foster fur siblings. She seems house trained and knows how to use a doggie door. She will use potty pads in a pinch. Felice's adoption fee is $165 and includes her vaccines, spay, microchip, heartworm test and a box of heartgard to get her started in her new family. Story
Meet Sparky! Sparky is 7 years old and 11 lbs and we believe he is a long haired chihuahua mix. He is currents on shots, neutered but Heartworm positive. He has not symptoms and has been started on treatment. His treatment is included in his adoption fee. We expect Sparky will be heartworm negative after one year of the slow kill method. Sparky has had it rough since birth. He was born with eyes that didn't fully mature. He isn't blind but sees only straight ahead. For that reason he is easily spooked by quick movements and those coming from the side. Several times a day he gets eye drops to keep his eyes healthy. It is very easy to administer the eye drops. Even with his vision problems he is an active little guy which makes it hard to get great photos. Sparky is housebroken with yard or piddle pads. Sparky is very affectionate to humans and would be to dogs if they let him. Loves to sleep in bed with his human or cuddle in chair. He enjoys going for rides in doggie strollers and being with his person. His adoption fee is $145. If you think your home might be a great fit for Sparky, please submit your application.
