Meet Maribel – A Senior Sweetheart Ready for a Love That Lasts ❤️🐾
Maribel may be small, but she has a heart full of love just waiting for the right person to cherish her. Found as a stray in early January 2025, she arrived at the shelter terrified and withdrawn, suffering from joint pain, dental issues, and the confusion of being 90% deaf in an overwhelming world.
The shelter knew Maribel needed a special rescue to help her heal and trust again, and with the help of big-hearted transporters, she made the long journey to us. Since her arrival, this little lady has blossomed in ways we never could have imagined! Her joint pain has eased with supplements and a healthy diet, and as her comfort grows, so does her sweet, affectionate nature.
At first, Maribel kept her distance, but now? She’s seeking out gentle affection, giving the tiniest of kisses, and showing glimpses of the loyal, loving companion she longs to be. Her reactivity and avoidance were simply her way of protecting herself from pain and surprise touches, but now that she feels safe, she’s learning to trust.

🐾 Independent but Loving – Like a cat, she enjoys cuddles on her terms and prefers to keep all four paws on the floor when bonding with her favorite person.
🐾 A Gentle Touch – Due to her hearing loss, she can be touch-sensitive, so she needs a home where her space is respected and she’s given a heads-up before being picked up.
🐾 A Peaceful Environment – She will thrive as an only pet in a quiet home without young kids or cats, where she can relax and enjoy life at her own pace.
🐾 Freedom to Enjoy Life – She loves to go outside, run around, and soak in the fresh air, but she needs a safe, enclosed space to explore without worry.
🐾 A Love That Lasts – Spayed, microchipped, up to date on her vaccines, and scheduled for a dental on 2/5/25, Maribel is ready for her forever home and all the love it brings.
